The best ewe lambs were kept for breeding purposes. The rest of the crop numbering 36 head averaged 106 lbs. at the Omaha Market and brought $14.50 per hundred. Most of the native lambs sold that day brought less than $14.00. He has sold the business to War ren Pearsley, well known Union young man, who will take over the restaurant at the first of the month. Residents of the Masonic Home and Infirmary enjoyed holiday fes tivities Sunday when a program was presented for them in the afternoon and a supper was given in the even ing. The program under the direction of Mason Wm. F. Evers, was held in the Infirmary at three in the afternoon and was at follows; Dr. R. P. Westover sang, accom panied by Miss Ruth Westover. Mrs. J. R. Recder sang, and also gave a piano number. Janet and Janice Reeder gave a reading and piano duet. Leslie Martin, the Home President, sent his greetings from Indiana. Governor and Mrs. Dwight Gris wold were guests and the governor gave his personal greetings, that were much enjoyed by the audience. Frank A. Cloidt gave a solo, "The Holy City," accompanied by Ruth Westover, using the picture slider as illustrations. Santa Claus, who brought gifts, was a favored guest Sunday night at the supper which was given at the Home. The Christmas tree was donated by Mrs. Mattie Branch Wright of California. Will Minford, Murray. 28-2sw Farm Home Broken Into Near Weeping Water Sheriff Joe Mrasek was called Sun day to the vicinity of Weeping Wa ter where the farm residence of Mr, and Mrs. William Bates was reported as being broken into. It was found that the party making the breakin had pried open a window and made their way into the main part of the house. The bed rooms of the home were given a thorough ramsacking by the unwelcome callers. As far as could be learned in i hurried check the only articles miss ing was a $5 gold piece and also parts or a com collection. Mr. and Mrs. Bates were absent from home for several days and did not discover the breakin unti their return on Sunday.
