Maple Grove Saturday to attend the
quarterly conference. Mr. and Mrs.
Fisher remained for the evening ser
vice.
Miss Carrie Henson came down
from Peru last week and contracted
with the board of education for the
position of principal of the schools at
tliis place. Miss Henson is a member
of this year's graduating class of the
Peru Normal, and comes highly ere*
ommended.
Levi Tillman and Mrs, J. A. Gush
ard were in Falls City one day last
week al the bedside of their father,
James Tillman, who is quite ill.
W. E. Slagle was an Auburn visit

On Friday evening the home of J.
A. Sailors was the scene of much
fun and enjoyment. A large number
of inyited guests were present and
the evening passed merrily with all
kinds of games and social conversa
tion. All who were fortunate enough

ing to celebrate Jesse Dunn's seven
teenth birthday. The evening was
spent in games. Refreshments were
served by Mrs. Peck and Mrs.
Plough.
A large crowd of friends gathered
at the home of G. W. Duerfeldt to
celebrate, his forty-sixth birthday on
Tuesday evening. The older peoplo
spent the evening in social conver
sation and the young people gathered
on the lawn for games. All enjoyed
themselves until a late hour when re
freshments were served.
