Miss Cleta Moran and pupils en joyed a Christmas tree at their school house west of town Friday afternoon. Miss Vernie Arnold returned home Wednesday from her studies at Pe ru to spend Christmas with her par ents. Jess Wagoner returned home Wed nesday from Forest City, Mo., after a few days visit with relatives and friends. Charles Smith, who has been work ing for Charles Weaver, left Tues day for his home in Missouri to visit relatives. A Abbott. _ Miss Ethel Sailors, who has been teaching school up near Peru. is home to spend the holiday vacation with her mother. They were going down a steep hill when the sled pushed on the horses and frightened them, causing them to run away. The sled was upset ard'the occupants were thrown out.
