A wonderful improvement was
made in front of the post office
and II. M. Jenne's shoe store this
week. A brick paving about
four feet wide was placed across
the lot occupied by these build
ings. This does away with the
mud hole that was made there
after each rain. What a pitty
the whole street cannot be paved
in like manner.
Quite a number from this place
attended the dedication of the

Referring to the length of time
business men have been in busi
ness in Falls City it might be said
Henry C. Smith has been in
business longer than any other
man in Falls City , having gone
into business twenty nine years
ago last March. He has occupied
the same building longer , a
period of twenty years this fall.
He has never made a change in
firm. There may be professional
men who have done business in
this city longer but in each case
they have made changes in the
firm name.
