So Sore He Swore
He Swears No More
5 SAL E
There was a Merchant mighty sore
In fact so sore he swore and swore
And kept on swearing more and more
The trouble was that folks instead
Of patronizing him by Ned
Were buying goods by mail he said
One day he got a little hint
On how to make his store a mint
Then hope took on a rosy tint
He came and ADVERTISED his stock
His store was crowded chuck-a-
block
From seven until six oclock
60 now this Merchant swears no more
No longer is he feeling sore
Since ADVERTISING crowds his
store

Friday last was a day of excitement
among the lovers of base bail and basket

fered some with the game the players
went on and gave two fine exhibitions
Bartley won the base ball score 5 to 6
and won the basket ball game score 21
to 24 Some fine plays were made dur
ing the games Some of the Danbury
boys brought some beer on the ground
One fellow got too much of the booze
and after the game was over got into a
fight This was the only thing during

can certainly be attributed to
booze which causes a fellow to seek
