Information from Washington indi
cates that Nebraska cities with public
building expectations will have to be
very patient as such government work
s lagging being a year or two behind

A dill has been introduced in the
Kansas legislature compelling news
papers to publish monthly statements
of their circulation that advertisers may
know what they are getting or their
money This bill is similar to the one
recently drafted by the Milwaukee Ad
Club and now pending in the Wisconsin
legislature The bill provides a fine of
500 for a false statement All honest
and respectable Nebraska newspaper
men will favor a similar law for this
state Advertisers should be protected
against the imagination of irresponsible
solicitors on the one hand and publisher
should not be allowed to secure money
from advertisers under false representa
tions or false pretense
