TheTcport of H L Peterson Sheriff showing tho amount of 175CO as fees collected from January 4th to July 1st 190S wns examined and on motion approved and ordered placed onflle It appearing to the Board that the assessment on the East half of the Northeast quarter of section 8-1-27 Beaver was an error the assess ment in 1901 being 1G0000 when it should le been 50000 and H W Parker having paid in the four years of 1904 1905 190S and 1907 the sum of 4160 under protest when he should have paid only 1300 on motion ithe Treasurer was instructed to refund to H W Parker the sum of 2860 as tho amount illegally assessed against said 80 acres in the four years On motion the Treasurer was instructed tore fund to the following named persons the amount of polltax illegally assessed against them in 190S for the reason that they are over 50 years of age and exempt from polltax Frank E Utter McCook city 2 00 Addison Riddel Red Willow precinct 2 5 John C Anderson Fritsch precinct 2 50 Henry B Bumgardt McCook city 2 00 Henry Roth McCook city 2 00 Tho claim for refund of 1597 of J H Ajer claiming that ho has been illegally assessed in 1908 on a note of 100000 owned by him was on motion rejected as that note should be assessed under the law The claim of James Rooney for refund of taxes on a part of tho propertjowned by him in Block 30 original McCook claiming that tho valuation on same is unjust was on motion rejected The following claims wore ordered paid out of the respective Road District Funds by the Overseers H Springer road work District No 12 72 50 Wm Troester road work District No 11 3 00 T L Everett same 3 00 The following claims were audited and al lowed and tho Clerk was instructed to draw warrants on the Road Funds of the respective Commissioner Districts as follows O T Hegwood road work Commissioner District No 1 S 3 00 V Olmstead same 9 00 D W Bailey same 3 00 Amos Olmstead same1 3 CO C G Wilholm same 4 9 00 D L Thompson same 3 00 A L Weaver same -
