sible be standardized in the roundhouse
They will each be 56 feet high with a
slope roof Thirty six have already been
built for the boilermakers flue blowers
and washers and they will be built all
over the house onjthe same scale Each
mechanic will have one for his clothes
and tools and one will be provided for
each two helpers

measured out 99 bushels of corn
from one acre on his farm this

80 bushels per acre this last sea
son He has already shelled out
two thousand bushels and has
one more crib to shell
Quite a number of horses have
died on the route from the mys
terious disease which has made
inroads on the equines all over
the county this fall and winter
Among the losers are Henry
Kisker three Rudolf Padolski
two William Broomfield one
Henry Rogers and Frank
Shores had a lively runaway ex
perience last Saturday evening
They had a Rogers and a Hat
field buggy in the affair The
runaway finally turned up at
Rodgers with the buggy consid
erably demoralized but neither
of the occupants injured
W N Rogers had a coon
party last Sunday with J P
Notley a great lover of coon
if he thinks it to be veal as one
of the guests of honor J P has
views of his own about a neigh
bor who feeds a guest coon but
Rogers has it on record that J
P made more of that veal dis
appear than any other person
about the board
Mrs J I Lee and Mrs I N
McDougal received the sad news
of the death of their eldest broth
er W M Jones which occurred
in Okhahoma City on January
27 from abscess of the liver
He had been confined to his bed
about six weeks The deceased
leaves a wife two daughters and
three sons to mourn his loss also
one brother and three sisters
The eldest sister lives in Califor
nia and was on her way to see
hjm but did not arrive until a
few hours after his death He
was a prominent member of the
Masonic lodge and other orders of
Oklahoma City He settled in
Oklahoma City eleven years ago
and has been engaged in the liv
ery business there He was also
well known in McCook and vicin
ity having been in the livery
business here two years in 1 893
and 1894 Many of the McCook
people will remember him and
I deeply sympathize with the fam
ily in this great sorrow
