Obituary.
William H. Moody was horn at
Carmi , White , Co. , Ill. , March 11 ,
1844. Died at the Soldiers Home ,
'Grand Island , Neb. , July 24 , 190b.
Aged 62 years , 5 months , 13 days.
When about three years old he
moved with his parents to Rock
Island , Ill. , living there about
32 years. March 24 , 1867 , he
was married to Miss Ann Armstrong -
strong of Zuma. ' 1'0 this union
was born 8 children ; 6 girls and
2 boys , two of whom preceede him
to. the glory land. In 1879 he
moved to Custer county where : he
homesteaded near Westerville.
Lived there until 4 years ago
when he was adinittad to the
Soldiers Home where he died ,
He leaves a wife. 3 sisters , 6 chit-
cIren and 9 grandchildren to
mourn his death.

Nebraska , Mrs. Ed. McMurphy
and Mrs. W. D. Mumma of Rock
Island , 111.
'fhe children , Mrs. A. Lan-
phear , Broken Bow , 1\Teb. , P. II.
Ioody and Mrs. Pearsall , Wester-
ville , Neb. , Mrs. C. Hurlbutt ,
Birchard , Neb , Mrs. Nettie
Donahoo and Miss Eli1.beth
Moody , Rock Island , Ill.
When about 19 years of age he
was converted at Zuma , Ill. , and
united with the M. E. church of
which he was a member at the
time of death. lIe was affiicte
wi h paralysis for nearly 22 years
be111g nearly helpless for 15 or
16 years , bearing IllS affiiction
w thout complaining always a
pleasant word and a smile for all
be chanced to meet.
'l'he funeral was held at the
M. E. church at Westervi1h ,
l ev. Pinkey of Broken Bow
ofiiciating. 'fhe family and one
sister were present except one
daughteI : who was sick at her
home and could not be present.
He was a kind father and a j
I devoted husband.
