of Custer county.
Chas. S. Allen , a young attorney -
ney of Lincoln and a graduate of
the State University is spoken of
as a candidate for Regent. The
removal of C. J. Ernest from Lincoln -
coln leaves Lancaster county
without a representative on the
board of Regents and as it is
thought best to have one of the
Regents located near the University -
sity there is but little doubt but
the state will look favorable upon -
on Mr. Allen for the position.
Thus far the RnpUnIICAN knows
of no other candidate for the
place. Mr. Allen has the. ability
and interest in the institution to
makc a very acceptable man for
the place.
