President Coolidge and adopts a
•‘conservative” platform.
. .Senator 141 Follette is discouraging
liis friends from making a fight for
him in the republican convention, but
has indicated to them that should -the
( ieveland nomination and platform he

By Assorietrd Press.
Washington, March 17. — Should
President Coolidge be the republican
nominee at Cleveland, and should a
reactionary platform be adopted,
friends of Senator I.a' Follette predict
that the Wisconsin delegation, after
the defeat of the substitute platform
which it will offer, will walk out of
the convention. They hope that other
state delegations also will withdraw.
Inquiries have already been made
In all the states to develop what ob

the greatest difficulties would be en

republican delegates, as made public
today, pledges ‘‘complete house clean

developments in the Washington in

of millions stolen from the treasury
through fraudulent war contracts and
the corrupt leasing of the public re j
sources" be recovered.

"Diligent action to collect the

Address—Prowler Scare
Proves False.
Police emergency car filled with
high-power detectives searched Omaha
for 20 minutes Monday afternoon for
a house in which a prowler was sup
posed to be at work, because they had
forgotten the address, and no one
thought to call up the station and
find out what it was.
The house they sought was that of
Mrs. P. A. Meeker at 811 South
Thirty-fourth street.
She went to the grocery store and
slammed the screen behind her. It
locked. When she returned, she be
came convinced a prowler must he
in the house, and called police.
The detectives dashed from . the
station, and drove to 811 Sout|i
Twenty-fourth street, where t hey
greeted an astonished housewife with
the declaration "Wre're from police
station.”
After she convinced them she hod
not called police, and had not seen a
prowler, they went to 811 South
Thirty-first street.
Finally, 20 minutes later, they ar
rived at 811 South Thirty -fourth
street, the correct address.

Film causes moat tooth troubles

their beauty.
Film also holds food substance
which ferments and forms acid. It
holds the add in contact with the
teeth to canes decay. Germs breed
by millions In it. They, with tar
tar, are the chief cause of pyorrhea.
Such troubles became almost
universal under old ways of teeth

Clinical testa have proved these
methods effective. A new-type

Pepsodent does other things
which research proved essential.
It multiplies the alkalinity of the
saliva, to better neutralize mouth
acids. It multiplies the ptyalin in
saliva, which is there to digest
starch deposits on teeth.
The quick result is a new con
