tion! surrounding the wheat market
are coming to the (ore. There was
a lack of pressure (rom the atari to
day. Pronounced strength in Min
neapolis and the first actual claim
of black rust damage from South
Dakota led to general buying. There
was a strong advance, the close be
ing at net gains of 1 3-84 Me,
July leading. Corn closed 3-4c(3
1 l-c higher, while oatt were up 5-8
h,lc and rpe 1 l-8e higher.
Best prices of the week were made
on wheat today, with the finish show
ing net gains of 23-8(4 3-8, com
pared with a week ago. July corn
showed relatively more strength
than the deferred deliveries and
Rained l-8c, while September and
December were off l-8c. Liquidation
was on in oats and the close was 1-4
(?i;l 1 -2c lower, despite the upturn in
other grains. Rye was off l-87-8c.
Provisions were dull with lard 5(1?
71 -2c higher and short ribs 171-2
35c lower.

sure on the wheat market. Drllverlee on

compared with the fulurra. The advance
In Minneapolis a reflection of the
apprehension of black rust damage, al
though effort were mad to keep the
new-a quiet.
General evening up on the part of all
classes of tridera for over Sunday wee
under way at the last. Disappointing
thrrahlrg returne on winter wheat and the
rust talk hna shnUon the confidence of
the bears. The Ureck order for 1.100.000
bushela of Manltobas wsa understood to
bav been rloaed, but otherwl the ex
port demand waa alow.
Corn and oata averaged higher with the
strength of wheat the main factor. A
leading elevator Interest waa a paralstsnt
buyer of July corn and there waa also
buying of July and selling of September
corn and oata by elevator Intereata to
chance over spread. July corn gained
IlKhllv on the September, lienerai run
of trop reporta on corn were favorable
with further rains shown In parta of the
main belt.
Ry reflected the action of wheat and
averaged higher with only a moderate
trade.

British and French miller have agreed
that they will not buy further qualitiea
of Pacific coast bagged white- wheat on
terms that provide that the certificate of

braska are commencing to cause appre
hension of a wet harvest.
Wichita. Kan., reported the receipt of
30 cars of new winter wheat today.

States will close at 11:30 a. m.. day
light savings time, on Monday.
Cash houses were active buyera of July
wheat from start to finish, as deliveries
were only 186,000 bushels and there was
an absence of pressure. Cash houses
bought the July and sold the September
all day. starting at lo discount for the
July and bidding It up to even with Sep
tember at the cloae. Big trader who
have been bearish cn wheat are bullish
