Pronounced strength in Min neapolis and the first actual claim of black rust damage from South Dakota led to general buying. There was a strong advance, the close be ing at net gains of 1 3-84 Me, July leading. Corn closed 3-4c(3 1 l-c higher, while oatt were up 5-8 h,lc and rpe 1 l-8e higher. Best prices of the week were made on wheat today, with the finish show ing net gains of 23-8(4 3-8, com pared with a week ago. July corn showed relatively more strength than the deferred deliveries and Rained l-8c, while September and December were off l-8c. Liquidation was on in oats and the close was 1-4 (?i;l 1 -2c lower, despite the upturn in other grains. Rye was off l-87-8c. Provisions were dull with lard 5(1? 71 -2c higher and short ribs 171-2 35c lower. July Drllrerle Small. At no time was there any great pres sure on the wheat market.
