COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS tAAftNWWWWWWWWWWWA Robinson Secures Republican Nomination for Treasurer If returns of the state primary elec tion have been correctly certified by county clerks to tho secretary of state's office and correctly tabulated after be lug received there, C. D. Robinson of Red Cloud, state examiner ot county treasuries, is probably nominated for state treasurer on the republioaa tloket over W. M. Stebbins by a plurality t.hat will approximate 1000 rotes. This discovery was made Monday by Bert. Anderson ot the state land com. mlssloner's office, In making totals on state candidates from the figures oa the secretary of state's tabulations. It was announced by the Associated Press that Stebbins bad won with several thousand plurality, and Robinson had sent congratulations to Stebbins on that understanding. There is a possibility that some mis take may have been made in tabnlat ing the official returns, but on the face of the figures Robinson is the winner. Another careful cheok will be, made at once. In ninety of the ninety-three coun ties, those not included being Lan caster, Sarpy and Saline, Robinson has 25,418 and Stebbins 21,725. Land caster county gave Robinson a plural, ity of 404, so that in the state outside of Saline an Sarpy he has a lead of 1,007. Lincoln Star. The Chief, aloug with Mr. Robinson's many friends. here, are indeed glaa" to learn that he has been nominated for the office to which he aspires. Al though Mr. Robinson is a Republican, we hope that he is elected this fall, as he Is every way capable of ailing the office and the voters will make uo mis take in casting their vote for him. To the Public The operation o! BURLINGTON trains, from the first day o! this strike, has been possible only because of the number of officers, employes and volunteers from every department who have been work ing day and night at their posts of dnty. It is due to the extraordinary efforts of these men that your community has been supplied .with food and other essen tial needs. The sense of justice of the residents of your community will deter mine the measure of their appreciation . of the services of these men. who have stood between them and the suffering sure to follow the attempted tie-up of train service.
