Src. 1. . Be it enacted bv the Council
and House of Representatives of the Ter
ritory of Nebraska. That a homestead
consisting of any quantity of land not ex
ceeding one hundred and sixty acres, and
the dwelling house thereon and the ap
purtenances to be selected by the owner
thereof, and not included in any incorpor
ated in any town, city or village, or in-
stead thereor, at the option ot the owner,
a quantity of contiguous land not exceed
ing in amount two lots being within an
incorporated town, citv or village, and the

a family, shall not be subject to attach
ment, levy or sale upon execution, or any
