Berlin, 16. Jan. (Wolff.) Ueber die Erschießung Liebknechts beim Fluchtversuch und üb die Tö tung der Rosa Luxenchurg auf der Fahrt zum Untersuchungsgefängnis erhalten wir voin Stäbe der Garde, kavallcrie der Schützendivision fol. gcndcn Bericht: Mittwoch hegen 9 Uhr abends wurde der durch Wach niannschaften der Wilmersdorfer Bürgerwehr in Wilmcrsdorf in der Mannheimstraße 43 vorläufig fest- genommene Liebknecht und die gegen 10 Uhr gleichfalls vorläufig festgo'Zclt m Äorwyrens uno ser ,'in noinmcne Rosa Luxemburg beim fahrt hatte sich aber eine zahlreiche Stäbe der Gardekavallerie der , Schützendivision eingeliefert. Nach kurzer Vernehmung der vorläufig Fcstgcnominencn zur Feststellung ih rer Personalien wurde Liebknecht er öffnet, daß er weiterhin vorläufig als verhastet angesehen werde und auf Anordnung der vorgesetzten Dienst stelle in das Moabiter Gefängnis gc schafft würde, wo die weitere Ver fügung über ihn durch die Reichsre gicnlng zu treffen iei. Die Nachricht vow der Verhaftung und von dem Aufenthaltsort der Stosa Lurcniburg hatte sich schnell in der Umgebung des Hotels verbreitet. Tie Folge davon war, .das? Mi eine aroke Menlckcn.. menge vor dem Edenhotel ansam. weite. Teile des Publikums dran gen sogar bis in die Halle des Hotels ein. Von der Schützendivision erhielt der Fuhrer der m Aussicht genom menen Vegleitungsmannfchaftcn den ausdrücklichen Befehl, von der Menge unbemerkt Liebknecht durch einen Seitengang aus dem Hause zu schaf fen und ihn ' im Dicnstauto nach Moabit zu bringen. ,Dcr Führer machte Liebknecht ausdrücklich dar auf aufmerksam, daß er bei einem Fluchtversuch von dcr Waffe Ge brauch machen würde. Inzwischen hatte sich aber bereits auf dem Sei tenauhgange eine zahlreiche Mcn schenmcnge angesammelt, so daß es der Begleitmannschaft nur mühsam gelang, sich einen Weg zu bahnen. Unbekannter schlug Liebknecht. Als Liebknecht und die Begleit Mannschaft sodann im Dienstwagen Platz genommen hatten und der Wa gm im Begriffe war. abzufahren, er hielt Liebknecht aus der den. Wagen umgebenden Menge von hinten von einem unbekannten Täter einen wuch tigen Schlag über den Kopf,' wodurch er eine stark blutende Kopfverletzung davontrug. Der Führer der Begleit Mannschaft ließ darauf das Auto so schnell wie möglich anlaufen, um Liebknecht vor der Menge zu schützen. Zur Vermeidung von Aufsehen wähl te der Führer dcr Begleitmannschaft einen Umweg durch den Tiergarten nach Moabit. , Liebknecht stach mit Messer. Am .Neuen See blieb der Kraft wagen, dcr offenbar durch fein schnel leS Anfahren in Anordnung geraten war, stehen. Als auf Befragen dcr Wagenführer nunmehr mitteilte, daß die Herstellung der Maschine einigei Zeit erfordern wurde, fragte der Führer der Begleitmannschaft (wie schon kurz gemeldet) Liebknecht, ob er sich kräftig genug suhle, die Char lottenburgcrstraßc ' zu Fuß zu crrei chcu. Hierbei leitete ihn die Absicht, sich eines Mietwagens zu bedienen, falls der Dienstwagen nicht wieder fahrbar gemacht werden könne. Als sich die Begleitmannschaft etwa 50 Meter vom Wagen entfernt hatte, machte sich Liebknecht von ihnen los und rannte, in dcr Richtung nach Berlin davon. Der Wagen fuhr dann nüt einein Umweg an der Steifer Wilhelm Gedächtnis kirche vorbei und wieder zurück an den Hauptausgang des Hotels. Zur Zeit des Vorfahrens war der Haupt cingang menschenleer. Der Führer der Begleitmannschaft forderte die im Zimmer des ersten Stockes befindliche Rosa Luxemburg auf. ihm schnell nach dem Wagen zu folgen. Er gmg selbst zu ihrem Schutze vor ihr her. während die, Begleitmannschaft sie schützend umringte- , Während der Menschenmenge vor oem $otci ange sammelt. Tie Menge nahm eine drohende Haltung gegen Rosa Lu rcmburg ein. Man vernahm Ver wünschungen, und es wurde mehr fach der Versuch gemacht, gegen Frau Luxemburg tätlich zu werden. Verhaftete bewus'tlos. Der Begleitmannschaft gelang es. die Frau bis zum Wagen zu bringen und den Eingang ieS Wagens frei zu halten. Da sich aber auch auf dcr Straße eine ernste Ansammlung von Menschen zeigte, die gleichfalls auf den Wagen eindrangen, - befand sich die Begleitmannschaft vorübergehend in einem erregten Menschenknäucl und wurde auseinander , getrieben, In dem gleichen Augenblicke schlug die Menschenmenge auf Roia ein. Diese wurde von dem Führer dcr Be gleitmannschaft aufgefangen und be wußtlos von ihm und seinen Leuten in den Wagen gebracht. Rosa Lu xemburg lag halb zurückgelehnt im Vordersitz des Wagens. AIs sich nunmehr der Wagen in Bewegung setzte, sprang plötzlich ein Mann auf das Trittbrett und gab auf Rosa Luxemburg einen Pistolenichu ab, Auf Befehl des Führers dcr Begleit. Mannschaft versuchte dcr Wagen dav aufhin schnell am Kurfürstendamm in der Richtung Berlin vorüberzufahren. wurde aber in dcr Nähe des Kanals plötzlich durch Haltcrufe zum Anhab ten gebracht. In dcr Annahme, daß es sich um eine kontrollierende Pa trouille handle, hielt der Wagen führer. , - . Nisse Rosa Luxemburg aus dem Wagen. In diesem Augenblick drängte sich eine zahlreiche Mönge an den Wagen heran, sprang auf das Trittbrett und zerrte unter dem Rufe: Das ist die Rosa!" den Körper der Frau aus dem Wagen. Die Menge verschwand mit ihr in der Dunkelheit. Es ist an zunehmen, daß die Leute, die das Auto zum Anhalten brachten, aus dcr vor dein Edenhotel versammelten Menge stammten. Da sich dcr Kraft, wagen vom Hotel nur langsam hatte in Bewegung setzen können, war es dm Leuten möglich, ihm voraus zu eilen und ihm den Weg zu verlegen. Porter sagte, die rote Fahne sei die Fahne der sozialistischen Partei, die der Mehrheit nach aus loyalen Bür gern zusammengesetzt fei. Vorher hatte Richter Verka, der Vater der Vorlage, unter donnern dem Applaus des Hauses eine pa triotische Rede gehalten, worin er, die Annahme seiner Vorlage forderte. Er sagte, die Annahme der Vorlage unterstütze . die Regierung gegen die Umtriebe des Bolschewismus und des Anarchismus. Die sogenannte Code Bill" des Gouv. McKelvie, die die Staats Verwaltung zentralisiert, wurde im Haus besprochen, : Ein Spczialko mitee wurde ernannt, sich mit derscl ben zu befassen.
