To List Prices
For Services
1 Customers of repair shops and
other “service” establishments
will soon find ceiling prices
plainly listed on official OPS
posters.
! The new method of listing ceil
|ing prices on standard forms pro
vided by OPS will replace the
varied methods which service
businesses have been using. The
poster contains 20 blank lines on
which each shop will list its prin
cipal services and their ceiling
prices.
Businesses affect e d include
laundries, tailor shops, dry clean
ers, parking lots, service stations,
and shops doing repair work on
shoes, radios, television sets,
household electrical equipment,
watches and clocks, furnaces,
heaters, automobiles and trucks.
In Nebraska, about 30,000 busi
ness establishments are covered
by the new order, according to
Nebraska District OPS Director
Edwin Moran.
“Businesses of this sort are al
ready required to post ceiling
prices,” Mr, Moran explained.
“But the posting methods used
have varied widely from shop to
shop, with the result that cus
tomers often have not known!
that ceiling prices were avail
able for their inspection.”
