It's used to give them specialized vocational training ... healthful rec reation ... a chance to go to camp in the summer... to swim and romp and play games like other kids. So why not celebrate this Easter by buying more Easter Seals. Remember, Every Easter Seal you buy helps a Crippled Child I j Sunday School I j t Lesson SUNDAY. APRIL 17, 1949 Christ Redeems His True Fol lowers to the Life Eternal. The resurrection of Jesus is. however, something more than j a fact in history. It is a revela- I tion of the life that God gives to men as no mere episode in time, j but as bearing with it the seeds j of eternal beauty. If Adam is the representative of man as sinful and dying, Christ is the repre sentative of man as he can be when he opens his heart of the Spirit of God and in the fellow ship of the Son of God is re deemed to the life eternal. In Christ is the revelation of the eternal purpose of God by which Paradise shall be truly regained and God shall reign in all the fulness of His glory in a world no longer stained by evil or over shadowed by death. In the volume of this epistle in the Expositor’s Bible, Marcus Dods says in commenting on this passage: “As a man of genius and wisdom will by his occupation of a throne enlarge men’s ideas of what a king is, and bring many blessings to his subjects, so Christ by living a human life enlarged it to its utmost dimen sions, compelling it to express his ideas of life, and winning for those who follow him entrance into a larger and higher condition. Resurrection is here represented, not as an experience opened to men by God’s sovereign good will, but as an experience in some way brought by Christ within human reach ... all who by spiritual affinity are in Christ, en joy the new life which triumphs over death, and which he won.” If a Man Die, Shall He Live Again? What we call death here is no more death than is the birth of a child death. The child is a greater being than he was in the months before his birth. And the soul, developed here, is the instrument, the real self which becomes all in all in the life of Paradise. Now we exist—there we shall live. Life is a marvel ous adventure here in which everything developed and cher ished here that is unseen—love and beauty, faith and goodness, POLITICAL ADVERTISEMENT.
