Taliaferro Stars With George (the Great) Talia ferro leading the touchdown pa rade with a “double” for Indiana, as they walloped Pitt, Paul Pat terson of Illinois and Bob Mann of Michigan with “singles” and Emlen Tunnell still going great at Iowa, sepia stars sparkled brightly again on the major col lege football fronts. One Pittsburgh writer said that Taliaferro was a “one-man” show. “He put on a one-man display of passing and running that was slightly out of this world. Talia ferro doesn’t have to bow to any of them,” the daily scribe de clared. At Columbus it was Tunnell’s wide sweeps that kept Iowa in the game and helped them tie Ohio State, 13-13. Banks, a guard also saw service for the Hawkeyes. . Groomes also scored a touch down for Indiana against Pitt. For Michigan, terminal Bob Bann raced 49 yards, the longest run of the day, to score. Gene Derricotte also went into action as mighty Michigan beat Northwestern, 49-21. Paul Patterson was one of the backs who helped Illinois rout Minnesota, 40-13, with Glen Pul lers, a back also getting into the game for the Illini. The Game of the Week: Vir ginia State’s unbeaten Trojans and Hampton’s unbeaten Pirates. Hampton will leave the game on the short end of a high scoring count. I feel that “The Voice” is one of the greatest things that has happened to the city of Lincoln for a long time. From many points of view the city of Lincoln is forgetting its com placency and is really developing into a cosmopolitan city.
