The political pot is being vigorous ly stirred, and the ingredients are badly mixed. What say Sherman republicans to an early county convention? Let Slieman county set the pace. Ex-State Auditor Cornell died Sun day morning at his home at Verdon this state. He was the last populist state auditor. Carl Scliurz died at his home in New York City, Monday morning. Perhaps no man in the United States has been more cussed and discussed than this great public agitator. Decoration Day ana Memorial ser vices will be observed in Loup City this year as usual. Memorial services will lie held at Pilger's opera house on Sunday afternoon of the 27th instant, at which time Rev. G. H. Wise will deliver the address, assisted in the services by the other city pastors. Decoration Day proper will of course lie observed on the 30th, also at the opera house, on which occasion Hon. Robt. P. Starr will deliver the address. The members of the Grand Army and the ladies of the auxiliary give a cordial invitation to our people to turn out en masse in honor of the occasion. Let us all do so. thereby honoring a day set apart in which to commemorate the ser vices rendered by the heroes of the ’00s. See program in another column. Memorial Sunday Program. Fisher, do associate ourselves to gether for the purpose of forming and becom ing a corporation in the state of Nebraska, for the transaction of the .business hereinafter described: I. The name of the Corporation shall be the Sherman County Grain, Coal. Lumber and Live Stock Association. The principal place of transacting its busi lieas shall be m the city of Loup City, county of Sherman and state of Nebraska. II. Tbe nature of the business to be transacted by said corporation shall be. 1. To buy. sell, exchange, store and ship all kinds of grain and farm products, and to carry on and maintain a general grain business. t. To buy, sell, exchange, keep in stock and deal in lumber, lime hair, cement and all kinds of lumber and building material. 5. To buy. sell, exchange, keep in stock and deal in coal and other fuel, and to carry on wholesale and retail coal yards and to do a general coal business. 4. To buv. sell, exchange and deal in animals and live stock of all kinds and to carry on and maintain stock yards and do a general stock shipping business. S To buy. sell, lease, rent, exchange, own, hold and deal in real estate as far as may be necessary, incidental or advantageous in con ducting the above described forms of business. 6. Such business to be conducted at Loup City. Nebraska and such other places in the United States as may be deemed expedient by the Board of Directors. III. The authorized capital stock of said cor poration shall be One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100.0001. in shares of ten dollars ($10) each, to be paid on demand of the Board of Directors. IV. The existence of this Corporation shall com mence on the 16th day of April. 190C. and con tinue during the period or twenty-five years unless sooner dissolved as provided by law. V. The business of said Corporation shall be conducted by a Board of Directors, not to exceed seven in number, to ue elected by the stockholders, such elections to take place at such time and be conducted in such manner as shall be prescribed by the by-laws of said Corporation. VI. The officers or said Corporation shall be a President. Vice-President, secretary and Treasurer, who shall be cbosen at the first, regular meeting of the stockholders, and shall hold their office for the period of one year, and until their successors shall be elected and qualified. VII. The highest amount of indebtedness to which said Corporation shall at any time subject itself shall not be mofe than the paid up capital stock, and no one except a farmer actually engaged in tilling the soil shall be eligible to hold any office in this association. VIII. The manner of ho.ding the meetings of the , stockholders for the election of officers and the methods of conducting the business of the corporation shall be provided for in the by laws adopted by the Corporation IX Tbe highest number of share* that any person shall lx* allowed to subscribe for or own shall be fifty (50), and he shad be allowed one vote only as though he owned bvt one share. X. No shareholder of this Corporation shall be individually liable for more than double his share of stock subscribed.
