In the rush ot moving last week, The Northwestern omitted the final story iu regard to the arrest and detention of the supposed robber of the postoffice and bank at Pleasanton. On Friday, of week before last, while holding the suspect for the arrival of the postofflce inspector, who was to come and take him in charge, there arrived instead the sheriff of Buffalo county, who took the man into his tender care. As there was some dissatisfaction over the re tention of the suspect here for a week or more, on account of the supposed cost to the county, we desire to state, on authority of Sheriff Williams, that the county of Sherman was at no ex pense for the detention here, as Buffalo county pays all the costs in the case, and not one cent of expense will be attached to this county. So we trust those who haye been inclined to kick will be easy in their minds over the matter. We have a sheriff who is look ing after the best interests of Sherman county, and can be trusted to see that the right thing is done under all circumstaaces Union Faomo uow Kates One wav colonist tickets on sale .fan. 2nd and 10th, Feb.
