Orange PuddiDg.—Oue qt. of milk, 1 cup of sugar, 4 table spoons ful of corn starch, 4 or 5 good sweat oranges pealed and divided iuto sec tions, place in a bright tin pan, 4 eggs, boil milk and sugar, dissolve the starch, add to the boiling liquid, seperate the eggs, beat the yelks well and add to the mixture, ccok about " minutes pour over the oran ges, frost over with the whites beat en stiff with 8 table spoonsful of su gar, sprinkle a little sugar on top, place in the oven to dry on top but do not brown. Snow Pudding, but not Oregon snow.—One pt. of water, 2 table tpoonafal o* sugar, juice of ^ lemon, boil together, 4 eggs, 2 table spoons ful of cornstarch, beat the whites to a stiff froth, pour the boiling water slowly into the froth and beat at the same time, place on the fire again, add the starch diss dved and cook 5 or 10 minutes, turn into a mold, make a nice boiled custard, 1 qt of milk, 1 cup of sugar, 1 tea spoonful of starch and the yelks of the egg*., serve the custard in saucers with the snow piled on top, flavor with lemon. This can be served in a “Brown" custard by leaving out the eggs asld a small piece of butter and oue square of chocolate and would ! be good. Apple Blanc Mange.—One qt of stewed apples mushed fine, add 1 cup of melted butter, 1 cup of sugar. | lemon flavor, 4 eggs well beaten, cook a few minutes to set the eggs. 1 pour iDto a deep vegetable dish, j serve iu saucers of whipped cream, what is left will make merringue pie for dinner the next day. Cocoaout Custard.—One qt. of milk, 1 eup of sugar, } cup of but ter. 1 cup of cocoaout, 6 eggs, 1 heaping tea spoonful of corn starch, boil milk, butter, sugar and coeoa- i nut together, add the starch dissolv ed. beat the eggs well, pour the boil-1 ! tog liquid into the eggs beating at | .ht same Lrae, flavor with .emoc, bake until well set, serve either hot or cold. Sec. 2. Any person who shall interfere with. cut. remove, injure, break or destroy any of the poles, wires, fixtures, instruments or other property of any telegraph or telephone company or association within the corporate limits of this village, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in any sum not exceeding one hundred (1C© hundred dollars.
