Cecil Chase, the little sou of Mr. ami Mrs. II.C. Chase, met with a very seri ous ami painful accident on Thursday of last week. While playing on the stairway on the east side of the opera house, 1 e lost his balance and fell from the top of the stairs to the ground, a distance of fifteen or twenty feet, dislo cating and fracturing his left arm at the shoulder. At this writing the little fel low is reported as doing nicely and is resting as easily as could be expected.— Mason City Trunsciipt Miss Kdna Minshull won the scholarship at the contest for the high*at per cent between the gradu ating class which was decided Wed nesday, and thereby carried otl first honors. Scott as trustee to fill the vacancy of Henry Ohlsen resigned.
