Brown of Ardmore S. Dak. spent a day or two in Harrison, this week. Mrs. B. was doing business before Hon. Judge Wilson. We were very much pleaded to see our friend Mr. Gerlach on the street again. While his gait is a little slow, yet it is encouraging to see him able to be about Mr. H. DeGering, paid bis respects to the Journal fore this week, and we had the pleasure of writing his name among our list of subscribers. His business card will be found in another column of this paper. Or, Phinney was called out at o'clock on Wednesday morning to attend to Mrs. William Hu? (Nee) Bourette of Running Water who was at that time very ill, On yesterday afternoon her brother oalled at this office, and reported the patient very much better. Tbe Harrison boys are about to organize a new play, called "Prof. Bones dm invention" in which they will dis play their talent to the public some time in the pear future. If they give as good an entertainment as they did last spring it will be well worth Koinz to bear. Our friend Hon. W, J. K. Bauro has been clouted adjutant of the Q. A. Dak., on last Monday evening. He could not tell just bow long he will be gone but thoucht lie might return the latter part tf this week. John Dutil was in town on last Thurs day, to cousiilt Dr. Phinney in regard to a felon with which he has sulTered the most extreme pain for sometime. We understand he had it lanced. J. V. RichdolT was in town lastMon day doing businetis. Mr, B. reports his Mississippi cattle as doing pretty well, considering the condition they were in when they arrived in Harrison. Frank Moraveck an employee of the B A. M R. R. came up from Deadwood S. I ak. on last Saturday, to spend a few day's with his parents. He returned to his work the middle of the week. Miss Ellle Wright who has been at Whitney visiting relatives, returned on last Monday. The little lady acted at escort to her aged Grandma who will remain at the Wright mansion some time. ' Mrs. Susan Bombangh of Chadron came in on the nest bound train Mon day noon, and went out home with Mr, Ricedorf, her son-in-law-. Ed O'Conner who was to have taken a teachers exaamination last Saturday failed to put in an appearance, hence he w ill be obliged to wait another month or until the regular monthly examina tion day which occurs every third Satur day in each month. Elmer Smith our former townsman who now makes his home at Oering Neb., appeared on our streets last Tues day morning. He looks as liail and hear ty as ever. Elmer reports his fatlier and mother as having fairly good health he will remain in Harrison for a day or two. Mr Lee Dickenson was in our midst a day or two last week attending to some business matters. Lee did not look quite himself, he now sports a full Hedged beard. Speaking of stock raising, lie said he prefered that life to confinment in the harness shop, as bis health was far better. Among the several parties interested in the Nicholsen caae recently tried in this county court, and for which none have been able to collect fees; Hon Judge Wilson is among those who have appealed to the district court for redress in the matter. We trust an amicable adjustment of the trouble may be reach ed. Mrs. Elijiheth Wright, mother of our only "Bub" Wright came up from Whitney last Monday noon on the passenger train to make her son quite an extended visit 8he will probably stay until about March 1st. Mrs. Wright is 86 years old and is lively and spritely for one of her years.
