Burglars Visit Greenwood.
One night last week burglars, whe
ther of ama'eur, where from abroad
or those who make their homes near
here, and however, they were suc
cessful in nulling off a robbery,
which was annoying probably raoiv
annoying than the amount of tin
loss was concerned. At the schoo
house they took a violin and a clar
inet, the violin being the properly
of Miss Virginia Newkirk. They also
entered the Standard Oil station hut
nothing was missed as everything
was locked tight that it could be
gotten into. Watson Howard, the
manager, says he did not notice any
thing gone. At the Peters elevator
a shot gun was taken, as well as a
flash light and as Rex bad two cigars
in a box, they took them and left
the box. About time to get busy with
the campaign for getting the miscreants.
Returned Missionary.
Miss Lulu Boles, a missionary on
furlough from India told among oth
r true-tales, this one:
Thursday is prayer meeting day at
the village where th missionary and
his wife; at a village, fifteen miles
away, every man. woman and child
started at day break to walk to the
village where the mtshionary lived
that they might learn more about
this man Jesus. All day the mission
ary and his native preacher taught
The men and boys while Mrs. Mission
ary and her Bible woman taught the
women and girls. Trying to teach as
much in one day as their ow n vill
agers learned in a month. Do these
missionaries need helpers? Do the
Indians care to learn of Christ?
