Asher at Atkinson.
A “coffee hour" was held Sat
urday morning in honor of Shar
on Towles, Denver, Clo., at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Allen
Gross. Among those present
were Mines. “Bud” kkes, Nor
man Trowbridge, Carl Max, Ro
bert Linder, Ron Park, Dick Cun
ningham, Morwyn French jr.,
and Darrell Heiss. Miss Towles
is the fiancee of Bill Jackson, a
teacher in the Page high school.
The Golden Rule Extension club
met Tuesday with Mrs. Leila
Snell. The nine members pre
sent answered roll call by giv
ing a suggestion for gifts under
one dollar. The lesson on "win
dow treatment" was given by
Mrs. Carl Max and Mrs. Harold
Freemeyer. Mrs. Dale Matschul
lat won a special prize. Mrs. Ben
Asher will be the April hostess.
Twenty-one members answered
roll call Friday afternoon when
the American Legion auxiliary
met at the Legion hall. They de
cided to make pajamas and lap
robes to be sent to the Veteran’s
hospital. Donna Smith, Seal
Luebcke and Alvin Crumly were
the top three in the Americanism
contest sponsored by the auxili
ary. Due to the weather and con
flicting dates the heart fund par
ty was cancelled but anyone who
wishes to donate may leave it
at Cork’s cafe. Saturday night,
a 6:30 p. m. covered dish supper
will be held in honor of the Le
gion’s birthday at the Legion hall.
All Legionnaires are welcome. A
soup supper was discussed, a date
to be set in the near future. Mrs.
William Simmons read a short
article on the beginning of the
Legion and Auxiliary. Lunch was
served by Mrs. Lloyd Cork and
Mrs. Simmons. Mrs. Anton Nos
sen won a special prize.
NOK Club met Thursday after
noon with Lura Grass. There
were 10 members and one guest.
Mrs. Robert Prill present. A
family supper was planned for
Sunday night, April 1st at the
Legion Hall. Mrs. date Wiseman
will be the next hostess.

lekes, Calvin Harvey, Floyd
Frahm, Robert Linder and Carl

Mrs. Hal Farnsworth entertain
ed the members of the Page Ex
tension chib Tuesday. Roll call
was answered by giving a "house
hold hint”. Mrs. Merwyn French
sr. gave the lesson on "window
treatment”.

ro, spent from Friday to Sunday
here visiting their parents, Mr.
and Mrs. C. E. Walker and Mr.
and Mrs. Lyndley Crumly
Help-U-Club met Wednesday
night for dinner with Mrs. Ethel
Waring. The women present spent
the afternoon playing cards with
Mrs. Otto Matschullat winning a
special prize.
,RNA lodge met Wednesday night
at the IOOF hall with 16 mem
bers present. After the meeting
lunch was served by Mrs. John
Steinberg and Mrs. Alton Brad
dock.
East Side Kountry Klub met
Wednesday with Mrs. Robert
Prill. There were 14 members
and 2 guests, Mrs. Lyndley Crum
ly and Mrs. A. T. Crumly, pre
sent. Roll call was answered by

achieve this spring. The lesson on
sewing was given by Mrs. Larry
Heiss. Mrs. Norman Trowbridge
won a special prize.

school. Mrs. Marvin Stauffer
and Mrs. William Sorensen

the ballet along with the pre
sent board members whose

group at his home Friday night.
They included Ron Asher, Linda
Smith, Bonnie Heiss, Charlene

Juanita Ragland, Carolyn Max,
Bill Jackson and Sharun Towle*
Cards were played.
Mr and Mrs Edd Stewart and
Mickle were Friday night visitors
in the Ben Asher home.
Get-To-Gether club met Friday
for an all-day meeting with Mrs.
Jim Ruthers. There were 10
members and 1 guest, Mrs. Du
ane Allen, present. The women
spent the afternoon socially.
They will meet next with Mrs.
Roy Grubbs beginning with an
afternoon meeting.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Troshynski
and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Roach
were guests Friday night in the
Frank Belmar home at Ewing
Caixls were played.
Ensign and Mrs. Dan Johnston
arrived here Sunday night at the
home of her grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Harper. The
Johnstons were enroute from
Corpus Chnsti, Tex., where he
attended school. Before arriving
here they spent a week visiting
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gor
don Harper, in Oklahoma City.
They plan to visit other relatves
near here, including her sister,
Mrs. Jim Jarman, Bassett. The
Johnstons after a short stay in
Hawaii will go to Guam where
he'll be stationed.

for Mrs. Alton Braddock with the

family were Sunday dinner and
supper guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Keith Kennedy.

the state convention of the WSCS
at Hershey from Wednesday un
til Friday. They were house
guests of Marie Heiss.

Atkinson Friday where she spent
the day visiting her daughter,
Mrs. Elmer Spann.

the Methodist church. Roberta
Asher had the devotions and Dale
Miller, the lesson. A discussion
was held on going to Camp Fon
telle to help prepare the ground
for camp. A council meeting will
be held next Sunday. Marilyn
Mux served lunch.
