Guinea Mr. and Mrs. Marion Park tele phoned their son, Jim at Albany, Ga., to say goodbye to him as he is leaving on a special mission as signment in British Guinea. He will be gone six months. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Zellers were Sunday visitors in the P. E. Nis sen home. Mrs. Leila Snell returned home Friday after spending three weeks visiting on the west coast with her daughter, Mrs. Jack Pass more and family in San Diego, and with Blanche Darr of Los Angeles, who is a sister of Mrs. Snell. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kelly Sat urday visited with Mrs. Audrey Kelly at Tilden. Mr. and Mrs. Ron Park and Kelly and the Rev and Mrs. Ro bert Linder were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Prill. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Heiss and family were Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Waring in honor of Janet’s 10th birthday. Mrs. C. H. Switzer of O'Neill was a Friday night supper guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Asher. Larry Mudloff, who had spent a few days in Omaha, returned home Thursday bringing his aunt, Madelyn Mudloff, to spend a few days here. Mrs. Gene Mudloff left Satur day for Omaha to spend a few days attending the Nebraska State Hairdressers and Cosmeto logists association. HOA met Tuesday with Mrs. Homer Rutherford. All members but one were present. The women worked their fancywork. Mrs. Em ma Canady was a guest. Mrs. Frank Cronk was hostess to the members of the Bid or Bye club when it met with her Wed nesday for an afternoon of bridge. Mrs. Jerome Allen was a guest in the place of Mrs. Jerry Asher. Mrs. Dan Troshynski won high. Cards were played after supper with George Wettlaufer, Mrs. William Sorensen, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Asher winning pri zes. The spring meeting of the northeast district of the WSCS was held Monday in Bloomfield with Mesdames Robert Linder, Raymond Heiss, Elmer Trowr bridge, Edgar Stauffer, Jessie Cronk, Ivan Heiss, Merwyn French sr., Jessie Kelly, J. W. Finch, John Steinberg and Arnold Stewart of Page attending it. It was an all day meeting starting with a coffee hour at 8:45. a.m. On Friday the Get-To-Gether club met with Mrs. Alma Tegler with all members but one present. Mrs. Dave Bowen was a guest. The members continued working on their quilt. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wright of Sioux City were Saturday din ner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ro bert Harvey. The members of the Get-Toge ther club held a party Friday night at the Kenneth Van Every home for members and husbands. Prizes went to Kenneth Van Ev ery, Mrs. Jerome Ruther, Robert Harvey and Mrs. Roy Grubbs. A no-host lunch followed. The women of the Inman community served the supper which the Page ladies fur nished. The film entitled “split le vel family” was shown. This was followed by a discussion of the church’s plans for the coming year. The young children re mained downstairs to see the mo vie “Gift of the Spirit”. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Revell, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Revell and Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Davis, all of O’ Neil], were Friday night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Mudloff in honor of E. J. Revell’s birth day. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Asher and family of Atkinson were Sat urday dinner guests of Mrs. Frie da Asher. In the evening the Ash ers and Mrs. Hester Edminsten were Supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Harvey. NOK club met Thursday with Mrs. Arthur Grass. Mrs. Darrell Grass of Rapid City was a guest. The 11 members present exchang ed pudding recipes. Mrs. Lynd ley Crumly will be the next hos tess. Neighborhood club met Wed nesday with Mrs. Ed Eggan. All members but one were present. A card party will be held next Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Duane Finch. Mrs. Louise Heese won the door prize, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Stewart were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gray. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Harmon and family of Norfolk were Sat urday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Harmon. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Grass and Kevin left 9unday for Rapid City after being here for the past week visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Heggemeier. and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Art Grass. Mesdames Lloyd Cork, Arnold Tikalsky, Cordes Walker, Floyd Frahm, I. O. Woods, John Sor ensen and Ethel Park surprised Mrs. Edd Stewart Friday in honor of her birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Mudloff and Brenda left Saturday to visit Mrs. Marvin Prokup and for the Mud loffs to see their new grandson. Mrs. Mudloff will remain for a couple of weeks. Lloyd Powell of Alliance ar rived Saturday night at the Dan Troshynski home. He left Sunday taking Mrs. Powell and children home with him. They had been here for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. N. D. Ickes left Friday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Mike Kainer in Canada. They also plan on visiting their other daughter, Mrs. John Jackson and family in Seattle and Dr. and Mrs. Millard Ickes of Nampa, Ida. They expect to be gone about three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Dan Troshynski. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Powell and children of Alliance and Mr. and Mrs. George Pongratz of O’Neill were Sunday dinner guests of Mr and Mrs. Harold Givens in Stuart. In honor of Mrs. Ethel Park’s birthday Monday the following women surprised her for break fast, Mesdames Hester Edmin sten, Mae Copes, Leila 9nell, Eve lyn Gray, Ethel Waring, Alta Finch and Frieda Asher. Sunday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Art Miller of Chambers were Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Stew art. Mr. and Mrs. William Scheinost were Tuesday guests in the Ray Harmon home. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Harmon and family and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Harmon and family of Norfolk were Sunday dinner guests of Mr and Mrs. A1 Vorce of O’Neill. Mr and Mrs. Milo Landreth en tertained Friday night for supper, Mr. and Mrs. Art Grass and fam ily and Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Grass and Kevin of Rapid City. Mrs. Milo Landreth, Mrs. Don Nissen and Mrs. Ben Asher met Monday night at the home erf Mrs George Wettlaufer to make plans for the alumni banquet which the auxiliary will serve in May. George Skopec of Emmet, Floyd Butterfield of Atkinson, William Miller and Homer Ernst of O'Neill and Keith Kennedy and Ben Asher of Page went to Lin coln Monday on business pertain ing to tlve ASC office. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Parks re ceived word of the marriage their daughter, Lois Jean, to Grimeo Leavines of San IMego, Calif. The ceremony was held at the Presbyterian church in Apple Valley, CaMf., March 18. Mr, and Mrs. Glen Blizek were her attendants. The couple will make their home in San IMego. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Park went to Lincoln Saturday where they were guests of their daughter, Mrs. Paul Robinson and family. On Sunday they attended baptis mal services of their grandson, Steven Paul Robinson. They al so observed the sixth birthday of their granddaughter, Pamela. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bartak and family of Lincoln were also Sun day guests of the Robinsons. Mrs. Bartak is a sister of Mrs. Robin son and daughter of the Parks. Jim Rutherford accompanied them to Lincoln and spent the weekend with his brother, Walter Rutherford and family. The Nifty-Needlers 4-H club met at the home or Peggy Crumly April 15. The members answered roll call by telling a good eating habit. The Let’s Sew girls Out up material to stuff a pin cushion and judged a pin cushion. The Skirt and Blouse girls cut out material for a blouse pattern. The Loung ing and Sleeping Girls made flat seams and laid a pattern on ma terial. Cakes and Pies girls took an angel food cake out of the pan. Beginning Meal Planning judged cocoa and hamburgers and made plans to keep a food record. Peg gy Crumly had games. A lunch was served by Mrs. Lyndley Crum ly. Next meeting will be at Becky Beelaerts April 29.
