Range Study Is Held Wednesday The 4-11 range conservationists | met June 24 to practice range evaluation and identification of grasses. This was the second meeting held this year in a series of three meetings. Wes Whitwer of the soil conser vation services was the resource man for this meeting. The em phasis was placed on range evaluation, use, and possible treat ment. Soil and soil type was also discussed. One more of these meetings will be held sometime in July. Janice L. Patras, Vincent J. Latzel Exchange Vows CLEARWATER Miss Janice La Verne Patras of Clearwater and Vincent James Latzel of Ewing j wore united in marriage Wednes day evening, June 11, at the Lat ter Day Saints church here. Eld er Arthur Gibbs of Independence, Mo., officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Patras of Clear- j water, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Latzel of Ewing. Miss Jeanette Glampe of Nor folk was soloist. Miss Barbara Westerhoff of Elgin was accomp aanist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, appeared in a baller ina-length gown of white brocaded satin. The gown featured princess lines with a full skirt. A headband of lace and seed pearls held her shoulder-length veil. She carried an arrangement of yellow carnations and lily-of-the-valley. Miss Wanda Patras was maid of honor for her sister. She wore a ballerina-length gown of mint green taffeta, also fashioned along princess lines. She carried a j bouquet of yellow carnations. Lighting the tapers were Miss Sharon Twiss, cousin of the bride, and Miss Patricia Latzel of Ew ing, sister of the bridegroom. Jerry McKillip of Elgin was best man. Ushers were Thomas j Patras, brother of the bride, and Merlin Shrunk of Ewing. A reception was held for 801 guests. Miss Donna Damme had [ charge of the guest book and gifts j were arranged by Mrs. Clyde j Payne. Mrs. Darell Robinson of Ewing cut and served the wed ding cake, which was oaKcci n> Mrs. Walter Westerhoff of Elgin. Misses Dorthea Yaryan find Car ol Knapp served. After a wedding trip the cou ple will reside at Norfolk where the bridegroom is employed by the Norfolk Bottling Co. The bride, graduated from Clearwater high school, has been teaching the district 89 school. The bridegroom was graduated from Ewing high school. Dorsey News The alumni banquet for the Lynch high school was well at tended and several of the alumni from Dorsey attended. Hal Rosenkrans helped Roger Rosenkrans with farm work Tues Carl Christenson and daughter visited at the Lee Brady home several days last week. Miss Anna Wells, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Wells is spending the summer at her brother's home, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Wells. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Carson and Mrs. Carson's brother, Jesse, were Lynch shoppers Saturday evening.. Jesse Carson is spend ing the summer with the Edward Carsons and helping with the farm work.
