She was called to Dakota by the death of her niece, Patty Bice, 12. who was killed in a car accident on June 9 near Hamil. S. D. There were two other families in the same car. The Bice funeral was held at Winner. Patty was one of a fam ily of seven children. A sister was hurt in the same accident and is hospitalized. Regional Deaths Ernie Dexter Stone ATKINSON—Mrs. Essie Dexter Stone, 70, formerly of Atkinson, died May 23, in Torrence, Calif. She had undergone surgery a few days before her death. Andrew Zimbleman BUTTE — Andrew Zimbleman, ocnLes etaoilnu etaoin etaoi etaaa 75, a resident of Butte 64 years, died late Wednesday, June 18, in a Norfolk hospital where he had been a patient one day. He was bom at Rohrback, South Russia. When a small boy he accompani ed his parents to America and spent the remainder of his life at Butte. Funeral services were con ducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 21, at the Community church here with Rev. George Muzzey officiat ing. Brandi in Field Training— ORCHARD Army Sp2/c Albert M. Brandi, son of Edwin Brandi of Orchard, recently participated in a field training exercise con ducted by the Eighth Infantry division near Baumholder, Ger many. Specialist Brandi, assigned tc headquarters company of the div ision’s 12th Engineer battalion, en tered the army in January, 1955. Brandi is a 1953 graduate of St. Mary’s high school at O’Neill. Leonard Lorenz, Bride Are Honored INMAN-Mr and Mrs. Leonard Lorenz arrived Thursday after noon from a northern wedding trip and were guests in the home of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr and Mrs. Melvin Lorenz and tamiiy. The Melvin Lorenzes entertain ed in their honor Friday evening members of the Lorenz and Er nest families. There were about 75 relatives present for a picnic supper. Later in the evening they were chivaried by a group of friends and presented gifts. Saturday evening the Lorenz families were dinner guests in the Vernon Lorenz home at O' Neill and later that evening they were honored at a shower at the Clarence Ernst home near O’ Neill. Sunday morning they left for their home in Minneapolis, Minn., accompanied by their son, Larry, who has spent the past 10 days in the home of his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Lorenz. Plan to Attend Officers’ Meeting CHAMBERS—The Woman’s So ciety of Christian Service met Thursday, June 19, at the Meth odist church with Mrs. Ed Har vey, Mrs. Sarah Adams and Mrs. Bert Lybolt, hostesses. Mrs. Glen Adams read two passages of scripture and Mrs. A. W. Hub bard led in prayer. A mission les son on ‘ The Kingdom Beyond Caste” by Leston Pape, was pre sented by Mrs. Lloyd Gleed as sisted by Mrs. Fred Catron and Mrs. Jim Grimes. At the business session in charge of the president, Mrs. T. E. Newhouse, plans for attending the officers’ meeting in O’Neill were discussed. It was also voted to pay 55 on expenses of each young person attending camp and retain the balance of the money appropriated for use another year. At the close lunch was served by the hostess. Next meeting will be July 10 at the church with Mrs. E. R. Carpenter and Mrs. Louis Neilson as hostess. Miss Farrier Is Feted at Shower CHAMBERS — A pre-nuptial shower honoring Miss Lorraine Farrier was held Wednesday evening, June 18, at St. Paul’s Lutheran church in Chambers. The program in charge of Mrs. Jerry O’Malley, Mrs. Robert Heed and Miss Diane Hoffman consisted of songs by five girls— Judy Garwood, Charlotte Grimes, Danella Whitaker, Sandra Whit aker and Mary Jane Fleek, pu pils of Miss Farrier. They sang "Sugar Time” and “The Whole World in His Hands”. A guess ing game and a quiz show com pleted the program. Following the opening of her gifts, refresh ments were served. Dr. Donald E. Known as the Sheldon Station and Hallam Nuclear Power Facility, the plant will be a notable first for Nebraska and the nation. Formal ceremonies at the plant site will start at 2:00 P.M. Among the speakers will be John S. Graham, member of the Atomic Energy Com mission, and the Honorable Carl T. Curtis, United States Senator from Nebraska.
