he has been transferred.

visiting relatives here and at
Fairfax. S.D., this week.

Eugene Hrbek and Gail Hciser
spent the past week in Lincoln.
Russell Johns phoned his par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johns,
from Omaha informing thorn that
he had enlisted in the air force
and he and his wife left this week
for Texas where Russell will he
stationed at Lackland air base.
Russell was discharged from two
years service in the army in 1953.
Mrs. Mary Hciser came from
Spencer and is visiting at the
Frank Heiser home.
Mr. and Mrs. Anton Wasatke
accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Her
man Heiser to Cinneinati, O . at
which place their daughter, Do
lores, and family will meet them
and take them for a two weeks
stay with them at Marysville,
Tenn.

and Mr. and Mrs. Henry West
phal of North Platte spent sev
eral days at the Anton Kalkowski
home Mrs. Thomas is a sister
and Mrs. Westphal a neice of

Ben Boldt, who is sales repre
sentative for Continental Oil
company, returned last week
from a two weeks’ vacation in
southern California. Enroute
home, an oncoming car attempt
ing to pass an oncoming truck,
forcing Mr. Boldt’s machine off
the highway near Rawlins, Wyo.
Mr. Boldt, traveling alone, nar
rowly escaped serious injury. His
machine did not upset but his car
snapped a guard post.

H Schultz, 22, son of Herman F.
Schultz of Butte, recently was as
signed to the 25th infantry divi
sion in Hawaii.
Schultz is now an assistant
gunner in company C of the divi
sion's 14th infantry. He entered
the army last February and com
plet'd basic comliat training at
Ft Jackson, S. C.
Schultz is a life2 graduate of
Butte high school and a former
shipping clerk for the Reliable
Plating Cbrp., in Chicago, 111.

man at the state fair for Louie
Adams of Elgin.
