Billy Spelts of Elmerdorf air base at Anchorage, Alaska stop ped to spend a 20 day furlough while enroute to Vincent air base at Yuma, Am., to which place he has been transferred. Mrs. Florence Harris returned to her work in Engelwood. Calif., after a visit here with her son and daughter and their families. Russell Johns phoned his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johns, from Omaha informing thorn that he had enlisted in the air force and he and his wife left this week for Texas where Russell will he stationed at Lackland air base. Russell was discharged from two years service in the army in 1953. Mrs. Mary Hciser came from Spencer and is visiting at the Frank Heiser home. Return* from West— Ben Boldt, who is sales repre sentative for Continental Oil company, returned last week from a two weeks’ vacation in southern California. Enroute home, an oncoming car attempt ing to pass an oncoming truck, forcing Mr. Boldt’s machine off the highway near Rawlins, Wyo. Mr. Boldt, traveling alone, nar rowly escaped serious injury. Schultz of Butte, recently was as signed to the 25th infantry divi sion in Hawaii. Schultz is now an assistant gunner in company C of the divi sion's 14th infantry.
