Emmet News Mr. and Mrs. Dean Burge and family of Omaha came to spend the weekend with \lrs. Bessie Burge, June and Harold. Marjorie and Diane Wayman, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Nor man Wayman are spending the week with their grandparents, Mr and Mrs. Henry Kloppen borg. Mr. and Mrs. George Skopec and sons. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Skopec, sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Skopec, jr., of Stuart, spent Sunday near Valentine at the Snake River sightseeing. In Valentine they visited the mu sehm. the water falls and other places of interest. Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Fox of Miller called at the Paul Newton home Friday morning. Miss I^eah Serek was a Friday overnight guest of Mr. ami Mrs. Blake Benson. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Fox and girls were Saturday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fox. Kenneth Huston, Mrs. Cecil Bogie, and Ken Warner went to Omaha to visit Kenneth's mother, Mrs. Gifford Cadwall, who is ill. Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Kloppen borg and family of O'Neill, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Kloppontorg and family of Cozad, Mr. and Mrs. George Pierson and toys of Sin clair, Wyo., and Mr. and Mrs. A1 Kloppenborg and family were Sunday dinner and afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kloppenborg. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Johnson of Sioux Qty, la., visited at the William Serck home Friday af ternoon. The Johnsons are for | merly of O’Neill. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ken dall and sons of Hastings were la lor day weekend guests of his sister, Mr, and Mrs. Wayne Fos and family. Mrs. Stella Kendall, who has been spending the past week with her daughter, Mrs. Wayne Fox returned to her home in Hastings with Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kendall. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Rich ards and Mr. and Mrs. A1 Hav ranek were among the man> folk from the Emmet vicinitj who enjoyed the parish 'dinnei and dance at Amelia Sunday eve ning. Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Brockmar went to Hastings on Sunday tc visit Mr. and Mrs. Don Perpcell Connie Brockman, their daugh ter. returned home with them af ter spending two weeks at the PerpcelTs while her parents were vacationing on the West coast. On their way home they stopped to visit at the Cion Burge home at Chambers. Mrs. Joe Bazelman and Connie, Grandma Heed of Orchard, Eu nice Van Him, Carlene Schoenle and Ronnie Hollenback were Monday afternon coffee guests of — Mrs. Wayne Fax. Mrs. Ruth Enbody had as Sun day dinner guests, her daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Walt Meier and family of O’Neill. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Anderson and Mickey. Mrs. Leslie Strong and sons, Miss Judy Sanders, and Marvin Falky all of Omaha visit ed at the Cecil McMillan home and other relatives from Friday until Sunday. Miss Evelyn Davis spent Mon day night as an overnight guest of Mrs. Wayne Fox. Don and Lee Pierson were visitors of the A1 Kloppenborg children Saturday afternoon. Mr, and Mrs. Joe Serek and family of Bunceton, Mo. were Tuesday evening callers at the William Serck home. The two men are brothers. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Patterson were surprised Thursday evening, when a group of about thirty-five people from their Presbyterian church group gathered at the Patterson home with a potluck j slpper. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Abart and family were Sunday dinner guosts of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Abart. Miss Evelyn Davis was Tues day overnight guest of Mrs. Gil bert Fox. Connie Bazelman spent several days last week visiting at the Wayne Fox home. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Burge of Amelia were Sunday guests of Mrs. Bessie Burge, June and Har 'old. Mrs. G. D. Janzing and Henry Winkler were Monday callers at the Joe Winkler home. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Dana of Fairfield called at the A1 Klop penborg and Henry Kloppenborg homes Tuesday afternoon. The Danas were on their way home after a trip to Hot Springs, S. D. O’Neill News Mr. and Mrs. Ray Shelhamer were at the state fair in Lincoln Monday and Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Harden Anspach took their little granddaughter, Debbie Mars ton, to her home in 1 Lincoln Saturday. Adgust 24. Mr. Anspach returned the following Monday and Mrs. Anspach re turned with her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Anspach last Thursday. Keith and family will stay for a couple of weeks before he enters his last semester at the University of Nebraska at Lin coln. Monday supper guests of Mr. Mrs. Dick Tomlinson were Mrs. Clarence Gray and daughter of Leadville, Colo., Mr. and Mrs. Junior Adamson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Don Adamson, C. E. Adamson and Jim Adams. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Baker of Omaha were guests of her par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Faul haber and her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Zastrow, from Friday until Monday. Sunday, the Bakers and Fauhlabers were dinner and supper guests of Mrs. Zastrow. Arriving Friday and leaving Sunday at the C. W. Porter home were her brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Hubbard of Gillette. Wyo.. and Arthur C. Hubbard and daughter of Rapid City, SD. They all were guests at the A. B. Hubbard home in Chambers Sat urday. Mr. and Mrs. George E. Peter son, sr., were in Sioux City, where they visited their daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Don Huser and in Struble, la., where they saw their son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Peterson, jr.
