    ”Hydrox Sweetheart Pudding” Offers
Valentine Fun for Littlest Cooks
For the littlest cook at your house, here’s a special treat: a
Valentine she can make herself and then enjoy eating with her
young friends! It’s a peppermint-pink delight, trimmed party-style
with whipped cream "lace” and a big delicious “heart” of cream
fHled chocolate cookies. This brand-new dessert for St. Valentine’s
Day, "Hydrox Sweetheart Pudding”, can be made in a jiffy; and
it boasts two layers, top and bottom, of those rich crunchy cookies
children love. Your small-fry chef can make it, this easy way:
"Hydrox Sweetheart Pudding”
2 packages vanilla ’4 teaspoon peppermint
pudding mix extract (optional)
Few drops red food coloring ’i cup heavy cream, whipped
1 9-oz. package Hydrox Cookies
Prepare pudding as package directs. Stir in red coloring and, if
desired, peppermint extract. Blend well. Cool to room temperature.
Put aside 8 of the cream-filled chocolate cookies to decorate top of
ftudding, and use remainder of the package of cookies to form a
ayer covering the bottom of an 8-inch square shallow’ cake pan.
Pour cooled pudding over layer of cookies. Carefully arrange re
maining 8 cookies on the top center of the pudding in the shape
of a heart. Chill.
Using a pastry tube with fluted tip, add a whipped cream
"lace” edging along all 4 sides of pudding, and outline a “lace”
heart on top of the cookie heart. Makes 8 servings.
