attended the meeting at the Meth

treasurer, presented outstanding
talks. Presbyterian ladies served
lunch to the group.

September 30 and arrived home

CHAMBERS — A pre-nuptial
shower honoring Miss Minerva
Sanderson was held on Saturday,
October 9, in the parlors of the
Memorial Baptist church. A pro
gram portraying Miss Sanderson’s
life was presented in readings,
songs and skits.
Participating in the program
were Mrs. Troxel Green, Mrs. Ce
cil Clouse, Mrs. Bus Clouse, Ruth
Ann Scott, Mrs. A1 Rockford, Dor
othy Haake, Judy Wolken, Shirley
Green, Mrs. Ernest Durre and
Virginia Smith.
A lunch of ice cream, cake and
kool-aid was served.

LYNCH—The Excello Extension
club met at the home of Miss
Pauline Mulhair Monday evening,
October 11, Mrs. Leland Moody co
hostess. The business meeting was
presided by Mrs. Don Allen.
Mrs. Allen led in the singing of
the club song with Mrs. Mildred
Darnell at the piano.
Pauline Mulhair and Rose Kal
kowski gave the lesson on soap and
other detergents.
Plans were made for achieve
ment day which will be at Spencer
[Tuesday, October 19, at 1:30 p.m.

hour.

parents, the Elmer Hulls, while
they are in Montana attending a
funeral of a relative.

Mrs. James Maly was hostess to
the Catholic Altar society Tuesday
afternoon, October 5, with Pauline
and Phyllis Mulhair cohostesses.

Plans were made to attend the de
anery meeting at Neligh Tuesday,
October 12. Plans were made to
serve lunch at the Jerry Halva
farm sale October 18. Mrs. Frank
W e e d e r , Mrs. Ray Counts and
Rosemary Heiser won prizes during
the social hour. The next meeting
will be held at the M. P. Stenger
home on November 4.
