Wagener Visits
Frederick H. Wagener of
Lincoln (above), Lancaster
county attorney and candidate
for the republican nomination
for governor, Friday visited O’
Neill. Wagener, a World War I
veteran, frequently has been a
delegate to county and state
GOP conventions and in 1948
was a delegate to the national
convention. He was secretary
of the Nebraska republican
central committee in 1936.

Camp Meetings
Still in Progress—
The camp meeting services,
which began last Thursday, will
continue this week in the Wes
leyan Methodist church. Bible
study 10:30 a.m.; children’s
meeting at 1 p.m.; adult prayer
meeting at 1 p.m.; preaching at
2 p.m.; evangelistic rally at 8
p.m.
Sunday services will be in the
school auditorium. Morning ser
vice at 10 o’clock; preaching at
11 o’clock.
The Miltonvale Wesleyan col
lege quartette and speaker will
have the service at 2 p.m. Sing
spiration at 7:30 p.m., and evan
gelistic rally at 8 p.m.
“We are having very good
services and you are invited to
join us at any time,” explained
the church pastor, Rev. M. H.
Grosenbach.

Clearwater Creek club met on
Wednesday, June 16, at the Rol
lie Hank home in Clearwater. A
picnic was planned for Sunday,
June 27. Next meeting will be
at the Kermit Johnson home on
July 14.
