at the home of Anna Alderson
with Ruth Harley as assistant
hostess.
The group met again Wednes
day, May 19, with Mrs. Charles
Coolidge hostess; Mrs. Gene Hal
sey, assisting. Nineteen members
were present.
Mrs. Melvin Bell read several
poems and Mrs. Coolidge con
ducted pencil games. A card,
signed by all present, was sent
to Mrs. Lois Adams, a patient in
St. Anthony’s hospital.
Next meeting will be June 2
with Mrs. E. G. Wintermote. She
will be assisted by Mrs. Clyde
Kiltz.
Sgt. and Mrs. Rex Homer and
children arrived Friday from
Omaha. Sergeant Homer re
turned to Omaha Sunday while
Mrs. Homer and the children re
main for a week with her fa
ther, P. V. Hickey, and other rel
atives.

Mr. and Mrs. Don Templemey
er and family of Holbrook arriv
ed Saturday and are now resid
ing in the residence owned by
Mr. and Mrs. James Parker, for
merly known as the Roy Sauers
residence. Mr. Templemeyer will
be athletic coach and high school
teacher at St. Mary’s academy.

Schneider, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Schneider of Stuart, is
enroute to the U.S. after serving
in Japan whh the First cavalry
division.
Formerly a combat construc
tion specialist in the Eighth en
gineer combat battalion, Schnei
der entered the army in July,
1952, and served in the Far East
15 months.
Former Furniture
Dealer Here Dies
Harry G. Jordan, 70-year-old
Lincoln furniture dealer, died'
Thursday, May 20, at Lincoln.
He was born at Stuart, attend
ed school at Gordon and worked
in a furniture store at Gordon
for several years. In 1913 he op
erated a furniture store at O’
Neill, later moving to Burke,
S.D. In 1922, the late Mr. Jordan
moved to Lincoln.
Survivors include: Widow;
daughters— Virginia of Lincoln
and Mrs. Melvin Clark of Mel
beta.

Mrs. Arthur B. Roberts of
Santa Ana, Calif., arrived Sat
urday and will visit relatives
and friends in O’Neill for several
weeks.
