PAGE—The Pep club of the
Page high school honored the
members of the basketball teams
with a banquet at the Page high
school Friday evening.
The room where the banquet
was held and the tables were dec
orated in the school colors—black
and gold. Three of the tables
were centered with one each of
the three trophies the team won
this year. One was centered
with a basketball and the other
two were centered with basket
ball balloons.
The following menu was served:
baked ham, scalloped potatoes,
peas and carrots, molded salad,
buns, coffee and tea, ice cream
and cup cakes.
Waitresses were Ruth and Beu
lah Miller, Roxana Simmons,
Dixie Singleton, Ruth Graves,
Gwen Klin.
The program: Welcome, by Di
ana Fussleman; piano solo, by
Thelma Summers; speech, by I
John Lamason; crowning the |
queen and king; song, by Lois
Miller and Jerry Terrill; speech,
by Ralph Brostrom; awarding of
medals, by Diana Fussleman;

Farewell, by Diane Fussleman;
school song, everybody.
The queen Roxana Simmons,
and the king, William Zemple,
were crowned by the last year’s
king, LeRoy Leist.

The Nifty Needlers 4-H club
met with Jenelle Alien, Thurs
day, March 25. The roll call
found 12 members present. Ruth
Kelly, Jennie Graves, Brenda
Beelaert and Mrs. Frank Bee
leart, assistant leader, were ab
sent. Instruction books for the
year were handed out and dis
cussed, followed by recreation
and singing. Faye Irene Ballan
tyne assisted with the lunch. Our
next meeting will be April 29, at
the Frank Beelaert home with
Bety Lou Canaaay assisting.—By

Mrs. Gailord Albright accom
panied by Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Ste
vens, left Thursday for Illinois.
Mrs. Albright will join her hus
band at Belvidere, where he is
visiting at the home of his father,
Fred Albright, and wife and where
on Sunday they will observe the
birthday of Fred Albright. Mr.
and Mrs. Stevens wil visit their
daughter, Mrs. John Emerson,
and family at Rockford, and with
Mr. Stevens’s brother, Fred Ste
vens and family at Belvidere.
Mrs. Albright and Mr. and Mrs.
Stevens returned to Page Mon
day night. Mr. Albright returned
to his work at Greenfield, la.
Mrs. Bertha Reed returned
home Sunday from Los Angeles.
Calif., where sne had spent the
past five months at the home of
her son and daughter-in-law, Dr.
and Mrs. George Clinton, and

Leonard Miller returned home
Monday after spending two
weeks visiting his brother-in-law
and sister, Mr. and Mrs- J. W^
Hurst at Redfield, la., and with
relatives at Tecumseh and Elk
Creek.
Mr. and Mrs. Lesley Lines re
turned to Page Friday evening
after spending almost a year in
California. They had spent all
their lives at Page before going
to California where they planned

rite was conducted at First Presbyterian church parsonage by
Rev. Samuel Lee, church pastor. The bride is a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. George Bolen, of Stuart; the bridegroom a son of Mr.
and Mrs. James Mashek, sr., also of Stuart. The newlyweds are
