Pep Club Honors Page Cage T earn PAGE—The Pep club of the Page high school honored the members of the basketball teams with a banquet at the Page high school Friday evening. The room where the banquet was held and the tables were dec orated in the school colors—black and gold. Three of the tables were centered with one each of the three trophies the team won this year. One was centered with a basketball and the other two were centered with basket ball balloons. The following menu was served: baked ham, scalloped potatoes, peas and carrots, molded salad, buns, coffee and tea, ice cream and cup cakes. Waitresses were Ruth and Beu lah Miller, Roxana Simmons, Dixie Singleton, Ruth Graves, Gwen Klin. The program: Welcome, by Di ana Fussleman; piano solo, by Thelma Summers; speech, by I John Lamason; crowning the | queen and king; song, by Lois Miller and Jerry Terrill; speech, by Ralph Brostrom; awarding of medals, by Diana Fussleman; speech, by captain of the year— Bob Sorensen; instrumental, by Walter Rutherford and Larry Taylor; song, by Jerry Terrill; Farewell, by Diane Fussleman; school song, everybody. The queen Roxana Simmons, and the king, William Zemple, were crowned by the last year’s king, LeRoy Leist. Other Page News The Nifty Needlers 4-H club met with Jenelle Alien, Thurs day, March 25. The roll call found 12 members present. Ruth Kelly, Jennie Graves, Brenda Beelaert and Mrs. Frank Bee leart, assistant leader, were ab sent. Instruction books for the year were handed out and dis cussed, followed by recreation and singing. Faye Irene Ballan tyne assisted with the lunch. Mr. and Mrs. Stevens wil visit their daughter, Mrs. John Emerson, and family at Rockford, and with Mr. Stevens’s brother, Fred Ste vens and family at Belvidere.
