Wood, and other rela tives. Miss Frances Lamason, of Lin coln, came Wednesday, May 2, to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Les Lamason, and her brother, Melvin Lamason, and family. The Woman’s Society of Chris tian Service met at the Meth odist church parlors Thursday aftemon, May 3. Mrs. Raymond Heiss had charge of the devotions and lesson. Hostesses were Mrs. Ralph Brostrom and Mrs. Evelyn Gray. Afternoon was spent with quilting and other needlework. Miss Margie Finch spent the weekend with Miss Dena Knight. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Miller and son, of Chambers, visited Sunday afternoon at the homes of Mr. Miller’s 2 sisters, Mrs. Robert Gray, and family, and Mrs. Ar nold Stewart, and family and his brother, Leonard Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Fussleman and daughter, Diana, attended funeral services at St. Edward Friday for Mrs. Fussleman’s nephew, James Fussleman, 9. James, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Fussleman, was accidently killed at the farm home near St. Edward. Scoutmaster Carl Max, Assist ant Scoutmaster Melvin Roach, Rev. C. E. Wilcox and 13 Boy Scouts, members fo the Buffalo and Wolf patrols, attended the Boy Scout rally at O’Neill Fri day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sorensen and 2 daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Soren Sorensen spent Sunday at the Russell Sorensen home at Creighton. The Bid or Bye club met Wed nesday afternoon, May 2, with Mrs. Herbert Steinberg. Mrs. John Lamason was a guest. Teacher Entertains Pupils and Board INMAN—James Cronk, teach er of district 111, entertained his pupils and school board members at home Thursday, May 3. After a supper, al lenjoyed a theater party. On Saturday, the older boys participated in the Holt county track meet at Atkinson, bringing home 2 firsts, a second and a third ribbon. School closed with a communi ty picnic Sunday. Mr. Cronk has been reelected for the coming year. Other Inman News Mrs. James Kelley and Neal left Tuesday, May 1, for Ashland and Omaha where they will join Mr. Kelly, who has employment there. Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Crosser and son, Jerry, spent Saturday in Neligh visiting relatives. Mrs. Merle Carr, of Homick, la., came Saturday to spend a week visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Conger, sr. The WSCS sponsored a bake sale Saturday fatemoon at Neil sen’s market. Pies and coffee were served. The Harmony club met Tues day afternoon, May 1, with Mrs. Clfiford Sawyer. James McMahan left Saturday for Fremont to attend the post masters’ convention. Gus Robertson, of Atkinson, was an Inman caller Friday. Earl Watson, William Kelley jr., Arthur Tomlinson and Leo Mossman spent Sunday in Sioux City where they attended the baseball games. Mr. and Mrs. Laville Butter field have received a formal in vitation to attend the wedding of Mrs. Butterfield’s brother, Eldon Stevens, of the navy, to Miss Nancy Carol Marland, of El Ca jon, Calif., at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, May 12, at Gillespie Inn, with a reception following. Eldon was born and raised here and has been in California since joining the navy. Mrs. A. N. Butler left Friday for Neligh and spent the night in the J. H.
