The State of Nebraska, To all Concerned: Notice is hereby given that N. Louife Neilson has filed his petition alleging that Elza C. Scott died intestate prigr to February 3d, 1898, a resident of Holt County, Nebraska; that at the time of his death he had made entry on Government Lands described as the North west Quarter of Section 28, Township 26, North, Range 13, West of the 6th P. M. in Holt County, Nebraska, but had not received patent therefor; that following his death Patent was ! issued to “The Heirs of Elza C. i Scott” for the Northwest Quar i ter of Section 28, Township 26. North, Range 13, West of the 6th P. M., in Holt County, Nebraska; that he left him surviving as his sole and only heir at law his daughter, Belle Ives. That petitioner acquired title to the above described real es tate by mesne conveyances, and is now the present owner of the real estate above described. The prayer of said petition is for a determination of the time of death of said deceased, a de termination of his heirs, their degree of kindship, and the right of descent of the real prop erty upon which he had made entry but for which he had not received Patent at the time of his death, and for which Patent was issued to “The Heirs of Elza C. Scott”, and that there is no inheritance tax, state or federal, due from this said es tate or the heirs thereof. Mrs. Coyne New Alumni President The alumni association of St.! Mary’s academy held its annual banquet Sunday evening at St. Mary’s. The affair began with a busi ness meeting at 5 o’clock. New officers were elected for the coming year. They are: Mrs. Hugh Coyne, president; Mrs. H, J. Lohaus, retiring president, automatically becomes vice- j president; Miss Beverly Mc Carthy, secretary; Mrs. Anthony O'Donnell, treasurer. Grady and Richard Cl rk After the meeting benediction was held in the chapel with Rev. Francis Price, of Omaha, officiating. Reverend Price is also an alumnus. The banquet was served to 195 alumni and guests in the gymnasium. The menu consist ed of fruit cocktail, lady fing ers, perfection salad, ham with pineapple, green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, pickles and olives, packer house rolls, cake a la alumnae and coffee. Rev. J. G. McNamara and Rev. Francis Price. ine guests in nonor were 41 seniors, who were welcome into the association. The evening closed with the group singing the federation hymn and the "Alma Mater”. No-Host Dinner — PAGE—The Help U club met for an all-day meeting Wednes day, May 18, with a no-host din ner at noon at the home of Mrs. Roy Waring. The afternoon was spent doing needle work for the hostess. There were 20 members in attendance.
