Kibby, Edwin A. Wink, L.'W.
Gibson and C. L. Bishop, of the
State of Nebraska, have assoc
iated themselves together for
the purpose of forming and be

repair; to create such activity as
to increase the amount of travel
upon and along said highway.

corporation shall be a president,
vice-president, and secretary
and treasurer, who shall be
be chosen by the board of di
rectors and who shall hold their
offices for the period of one year
and until their successors shall
be elected and qualify. The sec

and the same person.
TENTH: The following named
persons shall be the officers of
said corporation: Earl W. Car

Harry R. Purdum, Secretary
and Treasurer.
ELEVENTH: The manner of
holding meetings of members

Scott, Deceased.
The State of Nebraska, To all
Concerned: Notice is hereby
given that N. Louife Neilson has
filed his petition alleging that
Elza C. Scott died intestate prigr
to February 3d, 1898, a resident
of Holt County, Nebraska; that
at the time of his death he had
made entry on Government
Lands described as the North
west Quarter of Section 28,
Township 26, North, Range 13,
West of the 6th P. M. in Holt
County, Nebraska, but had not
received patent therefor; that
following his death Patent was
! issued to “The Heirs of Elza C.
i Scott” for the Northwest Quar
i ter of Section 28, Township 26.
North, Range 13, West of the 6th
P. M., in Holt County, Nebraska;
that he left him surviving as his
sole and only heir at law his
daughter, Belle Ives.
That petitioner acquired title
to the above described real es
tate by mesne conveyances, and
is now the present owner of the
real estate above described.
The prayer of said petition is
for a determination of the time
of death of said deceased, a de
termination of his heirs, their
degree of kindship, and the
right of descent of the real prop
erty upon which he had made
entry but for which he had not
received Patent at the time of
his death, and for which Patent
was issued to “The Heirs of
Elza C. Scott”, and that there
is no inheritance tax, state or
federal, due from this said es
tate or the heirs thereof.
That said petition will be for
hearing in this Court on June
16th, 1949, at ten o’clock A. M.

The alumni association of St.!
Mary’s academy held its annual
banquet Sunday evening at St.
Mary’s.
The affair began with a busi
ness meeting at 5 o’clock. New
officers were elected for the
coming year. They are: Mrs.
Hugh Coyne, president; Mrs. H,
J. Lohaus, retiring president,

president; Miss Beverly Mc
Carthy, secretary; Mrs. Anthony

195 alumni and guests in the
gymnasium. The menu consist
ed of fruit cocktail, lady fing
ers, perfection salad, ham with
pineapple, green beans, mashed
potatoes, gravy, pickles and
olives, packer house rolls, cake
a la alumnae and coffee.

PAGE—The Help U club met
for an all-day meeting Wednes
day, May 18, with a no-host din
ner at noon at the home of Mrs.
Roy Waring. The afternoon was
spent doing needle work for the
hostess. There were 20 members
in attendance.
