M. on the 6th day of September, 1935, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Bidders are invited to be present. The Engineers estimate of cost of this work is $17,191.00. Plans and specifications are on file with the Engineers, Scott & Scott, 522 Bankers Life Building, Lincoln, Nebraska, and at the office of the City Clerk of O’Neill, Ne braska. Bidders desiring plans and speci fications for their own use may procure them from the Engineer or City Clerk upon payment to the Engineer of $10.00, $5.00 of which will be refunded, if plans and speci fications are returned within ten days of date of opening bids. Each proposal must be accom panied by a certified check for not less than 5 per cent of the total amount of the bid, payable to the City Treasurer, as a guarrantee of good faith. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sanford have moved into the former James Davis residence in southeastern O’Neill. Ed O'Donnell was up from North Platte the end of the week for a couple of days visit with relatives and friends. Robert Cross and Miss Gladys Kellogg, both of Stuart, were granted a marriage license in county court last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Haley came up from Omaha last Saturday night for a short aisit with friends, returing to Omaha Tuesday. Mrs. John Kersenbrock and children returned last Monday from a visit with relatives and friends in Sioux City, Omaha and | Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Martin enter tained twenty-seven guests at din ner at theirhome last Sunday even ing, honoring Miss Orlean Reed, of Randolph. Mr. and Mrs. Parm Rice, of Royal their children and Mrs. Dey Higbee, of Lincoln, spent Sunday here at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Edwards. Bernard Walsh and sister, Leon ore, of West Union, Iowa, arrived last Saturday night for a short visit with friends here, returning home Monday. Marie Posvar, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Posvar, recently here from Inman, left last week for near David City where she teaches in a rural school. Mrs. Leo A. Mannefelt and daughters, Jane and Mary Ellen, returned last Thursday night from a months visit with relatives and friends in Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. George Van Every and children, Laverne and Dean, by automobile took Mrs. Bradley and her son, John, to their home in Ainsworth Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. P. J. O’Donnell came up from Randolph the latter part of the week and spent a couple of days visiting relatives and friends in this city. Mrs. B. F. Grant son and daughter, of Omaha, came up last Thursday and spent a couple of days visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Graves. They re turned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. George Agnes, Mary Virginia and Harlan came up from Sioux City last Friday even ing for a few days visit with rela tives and old friends here.
