NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
Sealed bids will be received by
the City Council of the City of
O’Neill, Nebraska, in the City
Clerk’s office for the construction
of paving in Paving District No. 3,
up to 8:00 P. M. on the 6th day of
September, 1935, at which time and
place they will be publicly opened
and read. Bidders are invited to
be present.
The Engineers estimate of cost
of this work is $17,191.00.
Plans and specifications are on
file with the Engineers, Scott &
Scott, 522 Bankers Life Building,
Lincoln, Nebraska, and at the office
of the City Clerk of O’Neill, Ne
braska.
Bidders desiring plans and speci
fications for their own use may
procure them from the Engineer
or City Clerk upon payment to the
Engineer of $10.00, $5.00 of which
will be refunded, if plans and speci
fications are returned within ten
days of date of opening bids.
Each proposal must be accom
panied by a certified check for not
less than 5 per cent of the total
amount of the bid, payable to the
City Treasurer, as a guarrantee of
good faith.
The City Council reserves the
right to reject any or all bids or
to waive any defects therein.

children returned last Monday
from a visit with relatives and

automobile took Mrs. Bradley and
her son, John, to their home in
Ainsworth Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. P. J. O’Donnell
came up from Randolph the latter
part of the week and spent a
couple of days visiting relatives
and friends in this city.
Mrs. B. F. Grant son and
daughter, of Omaha, came up last
Thursday and spent a couple of
days visiting at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. W. B. Graves. They re
turned home Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. George Agnes,
Mary Virginia and Harlan came up
from Sioux City last Friday even
ing for a few days visit with rela
tives and old friends here. They
returned home Monday afternoon,
being accomanied home by little
Miss Loraine, who had been visit
ing here for a week.
