Yes, Thank You, We’re Doing Well A 1 Extra! Four young ladies reveal their age! Who eaid young girls are retieent about giving their true ages? Here are four of them letting the whole world know that they’re one year old—and proud of it. They’re all sisters, yes, sir! So by now you’ve . probably guessed that Edna A., Wilma B., Sarah C. and Helen Morlock, of Lansing, 111., are quadruplets the only ones alive in these United States. They arc shown in their four passenger perambulator on first birthday. They're already hard to tell apart Wins-Then Loses Loretta Turnbull (above), of Mon rovia, Cal., is going to stick to Yankee craft, and more particu larly her own, when she intends to win boat races. That conclusion was reached on the Riviera recently when on one day, piloting her own speedy craft, she handily won an outboard motorboat race, only to go down to defeat a few days later when she borrowed a Spanish boat. There’s quite a difference between first and sixth place*. A Very Pointed Argument The gentlemen above, who were so immersed in their sharp argument as to be unaware of the camera, were the finalists in the three-weapon fencing contest for Southern California honors. Eagerly each one strives to make his adversary see the point, for the winners may get a chance to strut their stuff in the Olympic games competition to be held in T.os Anceles in 1932. History Repeats Itself Washington’s historic crossing of the Delaware was re-enacted, as shown above, by American soldiers the other day, but instead of the frail boats which the first President and his men had to use, and without the additional hazard of drifting ice, the twentieth century doughboys laid and relaid pontoon bridges to test their strength. This picture shows a pontoon load of men, machine guns, horses and mules crossing the Delaware. If only Washington could have seen it—and marveled. Harnessed River 1 Credited with taking a leading fart in developing Niagara 'alls power and many other great projects, Edward Dean Adams, one of America’s great est engineers, is shown above in one of his most lecent photos. Adams was eighty-five and was active up to hri death at his tome in New York.
