The Board of Supervisors, Holt
County:
' Gentlemen: In Jhne, 1919,1 bought
the Southwest Quarter of Section 8,
Township 29, Range 16, paying there
for $6,000. This year it is assessed
at $7,800 which is an unjust assess
ment as it is assessed at the same
price wtih other quarters in this sec
tion any one of which is worth $3,000
more than my quarter, and I respect
fully request your honorable body to
equalize the assessment of this land in
accordance with th6 purchase price
and the actual value of this quarter
of land.

Stuart, Neb., June 2,1920.
County Clerk, O’Neill, Nebraska.
Dear Sir: I wish to protest as to
the value placed on SW14 ad WMs of
SE!4 of 2-30-16 which is $20,600 as
last year it was $9,600 which was a
fair value, as 120 acres of this land is
river overflow land, not fit for culti
vation of any kind.
Respectfully,
JAMES C. FLANNIGAN,
- Stuart, Nebr.
On motion above assessment was
reduced to $18,100.
* June 24, 1920.
To the Equaliaation Board of Holt
County:
• I wish to file this protest against
the valuation made on our land in
Sheridan township. The valuation is
too high and our lands are valued
higher than same land adjoining in
£8 15 and other adjoining land. Many
tracts are valaed by assessor at much
more than land is worth.
Respectfully,
O’DONNELL BROS.,
By JAMES P. O’DONNELL.
