Fork Creek between sectlous fifteen and

to be a pile aud stringer bridge forty feet
long and sixteen feet wide. Bidders to fur

rods north of township Hue running east and

atriuger bridge forty feet long and sixteen

HUIDQE NOTICE.
Healed proposals will be received at the
office of the County Clerk. O'Netll, Nebraska,
until 12 o'clock. September 4, 1002, for the
construction of a sixty-foot span at the
Badger bridge across the Niobrara river, and
for the putting In of five Ice breaks at said
bridge; and for the putting in of one Ice
break at the bridge across the Niobrara river
known as the Orand Itapids bridge; and for
the putting in of seven Ice breaks at the
bridge across the said river near Lynch; and
for the taking out of the stone abuttmrnt In
the bridge, known as the Whiting bridge, on
the north side and putting in a new stone
abuttment and one ice break at that bridge.
Also a separate bid for the putting In of a
piling abuttment at said bridge. Bidders will
be required to furnish their own plans and
specifications and to file seuoratu bids fur
each bridge. The bids for the Badger bridge
shall be made with the understanding that
the counties will furninh sixty 3x12 lu. plank
fourteen feet long, otherwise all material to
be furnished by bidder.

for bridge." The county board reserves the
right to reject any or all bids.

road prayed for by A.C. Crossman and
others in section 33, 30, 14 be allowed,
the same having been petitioned for
vieiver appointed and adverstised ac
cording to the law and that damages
be allowed W. P. Simar and Henry
Pruss each in the sum of fifty dollars
and the clerk instructed to draw war
rants for the amounts from the road
fund and the county surveyor instruct
ed to plat said road on the road book
book and the county clerk to make all
necessary records on the record book
of the county.

ing of the city council the following
members were present: Mayor Har
rington, President Brennan, Council
men Zimmerman, Whelan and Sniggs.
Minutes of last meeting read and
approved. Minutes of special meeting
on July 13 approved as read.
Committee on boiler continued un
til next meeting.
Moved by Gallagher, seconded by
Zimmerman, that motion made by
Brennan at the May meeting in re
gard to saloon license be reconsidered.
Moved and seconded that motion be
laid on table until tomorrow evening.
Carried.
Moved and seconded that we ad
journ until tomorrow evening.

Aug. 4.—Council met as per adjourn
ment. Present: Mayor Harrington,
Councilmen Brennan, Sniggs, Zimmer

A petition asking that baseball and
other sports on Sunday be abolished
by the council was presented. The
mayor ruled it out of order as the
council had no ordinace covering such
