Whltton, father of W, T. and Wil her Whitten, died at his homo, two miles northwest of Brownvillo, Mon day, April 25th. Tho funeral services were held Tuesday. Mr. Whitten has been in poor health for sometime with stomach trouble, lie leaves an aged wife, who will sadly miss the compun ion who has for so many years shared her joys and Borrows. George Sunderland, a brother of Mrs. Frank llawxby, died in tho hospital at St. .Joe last Friday. Ho was hurled in Hunter's cemetery, across the river from Nemaha, In Missouri, on Sunday. A few months ago tho deceased was taken to St. Joe and an operation per formed for cancer. Ho grow bettor for awhile and it was thought ho would recover, but was takon worso and died. Ho was 27 years old. Goorgo was well known to many of our people Seymour and Charley Howo drove out to Auburn Thursday, driving Char ley's horses. While in Auburn tho horses brokoi loose from where thoy weie tied and took a little spin mound town, leaving: tho carriage in pieces', tyid then started for home on a keen run. Charley got a horse from the livory stable and started after them but couldn't keep them in sight. They ran to Bracken before they . wore stopped) hot wero not injured.
