Tho United States Civil Service
commission has announced an exam
ination to be held at North Platte,
Nob., on May 13, 1922, to fill tho po
sition of rural carrier at Brady, Nob.,
and vacancies that may later occur
on rural routes from the post office.
Tho salary of a rural carrier on a
standard daily wagon route of 2-1
miles is $1,800 per annum, with an
additional $30 per mile per annum
for each milo of major fraction there
of in excess of 24 miles. The salary
on motor routes ranges from $2,450
to $2,G00 per annum, according to
length. Separate examinations fpr
motor routes and wagon routes aro
no longer held. Appointments to both
positions will bo made from the same
register. Tho examinations will be
open only to citizons who are actu
ally domiciled In tho torritory of the
territory of the post office where the
vacancy exists and who meet the
other 'requirements.
