Tho salary of a rural carrier on a standard daily wagon route of 2-1 miles is $1,800 per annum, with an additional $30 per mile per annum for each milo of major fraction there of in excess of 24 miles. The salary on motor routes ranges from $2,450 to $2,G00 per annum, according to length. Separate examinations fpr motor routes and wagon routes aro no longer held. Appointments to both positions will bo made from the same register.
