was born and reared In Choyortno,
and is tho daughter of Mrs. Josephine
Corcoran of this city, and nioco of
Miss Nan O'Nolll, with whom sho has
mado hor Jiomo slnco childhood. Sho
wan graduated from tho Convent of:
tho Holy Child Jesus in tho class of
3 916, and slnco flnshii.g school has
hold a responsible position with the
tolegrnph dopartmont of tho Union
Pacific. Tho formor Miss Corcoran
is a beautiful young woman with ex
ceptional charm and personality. Her
wedding dross was a tt availing frock
of brown Moyuseno heavily embroid
ered in wool, and with trimmings of
boavor. With this was worn a be
coming spring hat Sho woro a cor
sRgo of pink ro30 buds, sweet poas
and lilies of tho valley mingled with
fernory. Mrs. Shcahan, tho attend
ant, was attired in a tailored suit of
brown and carried pink roso buds and
lilies of tho valloy. Mr. Gates caino
from North Platto whero his mother
and brother now rcsldo , and is em
ployed in maintenance of way depart
ment of tho Union Pacific. Immedi
ately following tho wedding cere
mony, Mr. and Mrs. Gates left for a
honeymoon which will Include visits
in Denver, Kansas City, St. Louis and
Now Orleans. They will attend Mardl
Gras in Now Orleans. From Kansas
City, tho nowlyweds will travel south
as guo?ls of Mrs. Gates uncle, Wr. J.
O'Neill, general superintendent o
tho Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific
railroad, going as special guests of
Mr. O'Neill In his private car, Mr.
and Mr3. Gates will be at homo to
their friends aftor April 1, at C07

IIADDA PETERSON JOHNSON
Mrs. Johnson wns born March 3,
1838 in Sweden and died at the homo
of her son, ' Hormun Johnson, just
south of North Platte, on February
1G, at tho ago of 85 years, 11 months
and 8 days. Her death was not un
expected as she has been a sufferer
from inflamatory rhoumatsm for a
number of years. She grew to wo
manhood in Sweden and in 1SG1 she
married Johanes Johnson. To this
union were born seven chldrcn, four
of whom died In Infancy. In tha
spring of 18S2 tho father died and in
tho fall the oldest son, John, emi
grated to. tho United States. Several
years later Mrs. Johnson and her
sons, James and Herman, camo to
this country, reaching North Platto
on Juno 5, 1888. They took a home
stead about nlno miles southeast of
horo and Mrs. Johnson has lived there
conslnuously for nlmost 35 years.
Only ono son is left to rovoro her
memory. Other near relatives are
two daughters-in-law, eight grand
children, threa grcat-gr'andchfldreu,
one sister, Mrs. Anna S. Carlson of
this city, and one brother, Frod Pot
eraon of Ashland, Wis. i
At tho ago of 16 she was confirmed
in tho Lutheran church and has al
ways lived a Christian llfo, her Blblo
and .hymn book being hor dally com
panions. Tho funeral Bervlces wore hold on
' Sunday afternoon, Fobrujary 19, at
2:30 from tho Pleasant VI ow school
house on Jack Morrow flats, and woro
in charge of Rov. C. F. Koch, pastor
of tho Frist Evangelical Lutheran
church of North Platte. A choir sang
"Ncaror My God to Thoo" and
"Asleep In Jesus." Tho pall bearers
wero Messrs. John Duckloy, William
Buckley. John Sandall, and Charles
Sandall. J. O. Anderson and C. F.
Erickson. Interment was mado in
tho Miriam cemetery. A largo cro-vd
of nolghors and friends attended tha
funeral.

tion has beon adopted by tho Student
Council and representatives of tho
faculty.
Artlclo 2 Membership.
Section 1. Membership In tho Stu
dont Council shall consist of soven
monibors from tho school at largo, tJ
servo for a term of ono year.
Section 2. In addition, each major
organization In tho school shall bo

ber eiocted by that organization.
Section 3. Tho faculty shall havo
